Global Relogistics

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I hired this company in February 2010 to ship a car from CA to my sister in NC and paid $1095 up front. I was sent an email by their rep that car was to be picked up between 2/9 and 2/10. Company was told car was broke down at a mechanic shop and could not sit as they don't provide storage. They said no problem and gave dates above for pickup. Almost a month later, they still couldn't find a driver to ship and the mechanic put a lien on the car. The bank found out and picked up the car. I incurred a whole bunch of fees to get the car back and ultimately had to sell the car because of the extra fees I had to pay. I couldn't afford to have the car fixed by my brother-in-law anymore because of all the fees due to Global's negligence. When the car was picked up at the mechanic shop, I cancelled the shipment with Global and miraculously the next morning they send me an email where they have found a driver and to contact them and let them know if I still wanted them to transport so that "they could assign the driver the shipment".

I told them no that I no longer had the car because they didn't pick it up in a timely manner and would never use their company again. Their dispatcher sent me and my sister a form to fill out to process a refund. Several weeks later, I received an email that I am not entitled to a refund because "Global does not guarantee a specific pickup date and once a driver is assigned they are entitled to all monies paid". No driver was ever assigned to this transport. Since I live in PST and my sister and Global are both EST, I contacted them and told them that she had authorization to handle this for me as she would be sending them the emails proving that I did have a specific pickup date and that no driver was assigned. They threatened her and told her she was to cease and desist all contact.

Once you hire them, all customer service issues are all done through email which they never respond. You sit on the phone for hours at a time just for them to tell you to email them. They are doing this to consumers all over the world and ** shows how they are stealing money from consumers in the same way they did to me. They have a BBB rating of F and also use the name Global Relogistics, Inc. and now Auto Shipping Network. I am very difficult to reach on the ** phone number, but my sister at the ** number has all of my information and all of the emails back and forth. I sent a letter to headquarters (no reply). They are making thousands of dollars off of people and not providing a service or a product. Yeah, I'm sure some transports go smooth but those of us that cannot afford an attorney and can barely scrape up enough money to hire them to begin with are victimized by these people. So I hope someone will see this complaint and investigate them and put them out of business!

See and avoid this company. All was a happy story until I signed the contract and wired the money. This was $3,000-plus USD for an international move (US to Wales, UK). The semi container was way over-sized. The men that were to pack and load the semi were a day late. I had to pay the semi driver $100.00 cash not to abandon me and wait for the loaders.

The phrase, "I'm sorry about that," does not cut it after 14 hours of waiting. On the receiving end, Global Relogistics, Inc. would not deliver to the final destination until I wired them another $1,000.00 USD to release the load from "storage." Never ever give this company a chance or a dime. My brain hurts just to think about this entire sick event.

Hyundai- Germany transportation to another post with the Government (on orders). The company was fine & the phone calls where great until i signed the contract & of course money was received via wire transfer my due date (leaving the US was coming close). After receiving my money they didn't bother to call on the day of pick up. I Called numerous times starting from noon on to see if someone was coming out to pick up my vehicle, I didn't hear from them at all!

I wanted to talk to a Manager which was also the dispatch person and the person that I first started speaking to about shipment, HE didn't care anymore and referred me to dispatch. Approx.5 pm she told me that there we re not able to get any truckers coming my way and if I didn't have someone else to give my keys and paperwork to a neighbor or a friend, also they said I could have someone pick it up but for additional pricing from my end and store it until a trucker would come and pick it up for the vessel (which I found insulting since they knew that was the only date I was able to give them the vehicle). I told the Person that was getting the contract that I have no time for errors and that I would rather have it picked up a day earlier then to late, he said it would be no problem.

After me leaving on a plane to Germany and numerous calls to the Company which they were suppose to contact me about getting my vehicle (in between plane changes) my car was picked up at my neighbors house with no pre inspection paperwork or any kind of paperwork at all (I found out there was some just not for me/ or my neighbor). I never received inspection paperwork.

During the time where I thought my car was on the vessel I received a horrible e mail stating "due to writing in the loan paperwork my car didn't make the vessel" rejected by US customs. I was on the phone with my bank and dispatcher to resolve the issue from Germany. Then for some odd reason it did make the vessel and was on the way but they needed additional 640 USD or they would not proceed the shipment. I started calling the shipment agency in Germany and I was told it will be there shortly.

Numerous calls and emails back and forth I received my vehicle damaged, so I went out & got a estimate on the damage which is close to 800 USD. Later I found out that I have a 500 USD deductible and I paid for extra insurance almost 200 USD added to my contract to find out that I could have saved that money since the insurance is not covering it.

So I have a damaged vehicle, numerous calls and e mails to this company. No one seems to care how much money and effort I put into this. Remind ourselves they were getting paid by me for a smooth transition. My vehicle is damaged, the car was a mess, my license plate is stolen and the insurance is not covering it, i cant believe this!

I am a physical wreck, i am worried constantly what else is going to happen!! I am scared checking my e mail because this is a nightmare which is never ending. I have never dealt with such a company in my life and all i want is my car in the condition it was before the damage and i want to never hear about this company again!

I hired Global Logistics to move my car. The contract stated, because it was on an 18 wheeler car hauler, they would get as close as possible to the drop off location. I agreed and understood (I told them) an 18 wheeler would not be able to get to the location but to get to the closest town (about 2 miles away) would be fine.

They dropped the car 10 miles away because, in my opinion, the driver was heading to New York and did not want to divert off the interstate. I was en-route so my elderly parents were taking delivery of my car; this forcing them to travel further than expected or wanted.

I hired this company to transport my vehicle from Killeen, Tx to Louisville, Ky and they failed to follow through with the contract. I'm deploying today and had asked them to pick up my vehicle before today Sept. 8th.

On the contract it states that it would be picked up between the 4th and 5th of September. They failed to call me and let me know that wouldn't be happening and then i stated that i would be satisfied if they picked it up by 5 p.m. central time on the 8th and they didn't have a driver dispatched for it.

Now they refuse to refund my money even though they said that they would because it was their mess up.
