Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Horrible service! I will not ever purchase another Nissan product. I was treated poorly. After making and filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs, the complaint never resolved, so I purchased a new 2011 Toyota and I am very happy with my Toyota.

About a week after the oil was changed the "MAINTANENCE TIRE" light came on. The car was taken to North Point Little Rock Nissan to find out what the problem was, the first service guy looked at it & said the tires needed rotating, it was then pointed out to him that you COULDN'T roatate the tires because they were different sizes, so he went and got another service man who just came out & turned the maintanence tire light off (nothing was checked.) He said that was a built-in maintance light on all nissan vehicles. At this same time i noticed this car was ridiculously difficult to drive if it was raining or if any water was on the roads. I initally thought it was because the car is so light. It has continuously gotten worse.

I took it to North Point Nissan again to have the oil changed and to have the "MAINTANENCE LIGHT" checked out. This time the service guy checked the tires out & both tires were wearing on the insides of the tires only. The driver back side has wires showing & the car feels like i'm driving a ski boat on the lake & the roads are totally dry. This car is now hazardous to drive. I drive 52 miles to work everyday, one way. I have called North Point Nissan several times & left messages with the manager,Mike, with NO return call at all. Now i've been told to call, make an appointment to bring it in to be checked & then they will make me another appointment to have it fixed.

This is not acceptable. #1) it too dangerous to drive that much d/t the cords showing on the insides of the tires #2) I can NOT take off from work to do all that. I am the supervisor of specials procedure nurses & can't just take off work for this car. The service dept said i needed to buy new tires. I DO NOT THINK SO! This a new car! The problem started with approx. 5000 miles & now has 13,000 miles. Someone needs to figure out the glitches in this car & fix them! Not to mention the cost of this car. It shouldn't matter if the car cost $10,000 or $40,000. We are talking about a Nissan product & it should be SAFE & DEPENDABLE to drive. I appreciate your PROMPT attention to this matter. I am waiting anxiously for your responce. I will be taking my car to North Point Nissan in the morning & expect courteous and satisfying service.

On August 4, I took my car to North Point Nissian to have a motor mount replace. The following day a service rep contacted me and stated that I needed valve cover gasket, oil change, engine flushing and a catalytic converter which I agreed to the repairs. On Wednesday the 6th the service rep call me and stated that my car was ready but their is oneproblem (your Altima smokes out the tail pipe now) I stated to him that it wasn't smoking when I dropped it off. He stated that I need to come in and talk to the service director Chris S.

I can in the next day to visit with Mr. S and he stated that my car was using oil because of the catalytic converter. I told he that it use about a quart between changes. He also stated that flushing the engine may have help cause the engine to smoking. I repeated to him that the car wasn't smoking when I can here. He said he understand and was going to see if Nissian would replace the engine, he also said heir have been some misdiagnosing of problems in the pass.

On August 11th Mr. S informed me that Nissian was not going to fix the problem and he provided me the 800-number to Nissian. I contacted Nissian consumer affair and open a claim. On Tuesday the 18th Nissian Consumer Affair informed me that they could not repair the car because it was out of warranty. I told her how bad the car was smoking after Nissian repairs, she only said I'm sorry. I was charged $2009.00 my North Point Nissian . The car smokes so bad that I had to purchase a new car the same day just to have transportation 8/18/09. North Point Nissian has made no attempt to work with me on the problem or explain why I now need a engine after repairs, when the car was running find when I dropped off the car.
