I bought my car new in 2005, and have faithfully taken it for service to Nissan in Avondale. In the 2005, I had a light show up "service engine soon" and i took the car to the local dealer for check. From what i was notified over 50 miles was done on the car and no problem was identified, but thought it was a caribration issue. This light has been coming on and off over the years but about 2mths ago when this light came up, the car was taken to the same dealer who state that now the car has an engine problem and the costs were estimated at over 2000 usd. While i have had good service experience with Nissan, i feel cheated knowing i did bring this issue to the attention of your personnel who never identified the problem on time and obviously over the years this may have deteriorated. Apparently the problem was diagnosed shortly after a service was done at the station on the same car.
Exorbitant fees which i have to pay from my pocket since my warranty has expired.I faithfully serviced my loan and serviced my car without fail and i feel this should have been proactively diagnosed on car that was service compliant with you. I am planning to buy another car, and though i have respected Nissan for the good cars and service i am afraid they will miss another problem that will cost me huge amount of money and live me broken. Compensation would be ideal and even if not the case i would love to hear your response or feedback to this.
