On July 9, 2007, I mailed in a rebate form with the original sales receipt for a $4.00 rebate offer on a set of 8 Bosch spark plugs. Despite making several calls to the rebate center and checking their web site to find a status of my rebate request, they still don't have me on their list for a rebate.
Their excuse for not sending me my rebate is the original company who was handling the rebate process was dropped, and all the rebate forms are being transferred to the new company who is supposedly going to issue the rebates. I heard that excuse when I called the first time on August 1 or 2, and as recent as October 10. Each time they tell me the problem will be fixed in about two weeks and i can call back then. The new company's web address is http://www.rewardsbymail.com. You can also reach them by phone toll-free at 800-741-1365.
On a couple of occasions, I offered to mail them copies of my original rebate form and the sales receipt, but they said they didn't want it.
I know $4.00 isn't much money, but multiply that by the thousands of other people they company is banking will drop the issue, and this sure smells like fraud to me.
