I bought a used car from buzz post kia in arlington. I had just totaled my car and i needed transportation. Well i got a truck from them and not two weeks later something with the brakes went wrong. They started to leak and grind.. We brought it in and not even three days later my husband was driving to work on the highway the car started fishtailing for no reason taking him off the highway when he finnally did get the vehicle under control the brakes would not work. They went out completly. Know they are saying that we have to fix the vehicle or trade it in. I think if they did the annicial inspection like they are supposed to that they would of caught somthing like that. Or even when we took it in after the fact. I need to know what my opptions are because even if they fix it how can i trust them. Im scared to ever drive the vehicle agian. I just need to know what my options are? Thanks for your time and help.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Car was advertised in Saturday 03-20-04 paper. Kia Cinco for $7950, Stephen Brown, my father, as well as myself went to the dealership and asked to see that car for that price. Salesman showed us what we thought was the car that was in the ad. He went in on 4 different occasions to verify he was showing us the right car. However, we drove the unit, were pleased, my father wanted to purchase the vehicle. However the Finance Manager intruded in on the sale and started to try to push their Financing to pay for vehicle.
My father agreed to let dealership finance him if they would match what his Bank would. After about an hour of receiving the run around from the Finance Mangager, he overvalued the car that we were showed and told that would be $7950. The total was $2,200 dollars more than what the newspaper ad stated. This is a terrible way to practice business. My father is not stupid and has been in car business for many years. The dealership had a for sure sale. However the Finance Mangager was gouging the price up over $2000 dollars. My father ended up leaving and not purchasing the unit. Kia needs to look at their policies and review their procedures. Then Finance Manager was of no help and was just money hungry. My father drove about 200 miles to purchase this unit and went away empty handed.
Loss of time and money for the drive to dealership. total of 400 miles of driving

Myself and three other aqqaintences were at a restraunt off Cooper in Arlington. We were approached by Jimmy Seay who said he could make a deals with all of us. He and Robie had said that they could get us into any vehicle on the lot of their dealership for 200 a month and the first three months we would not have to make any payments. We were also told that we would not need a down payment or a job.
Which we belived this to be hard to do. They told us that if they could not get us in the vehicle of choice that we each would walk away with a hundred dollars cash. The stipulation was that we had to be there at 9:00 AM to get the paperwork started and that we could not tell anyone about what was said. We arrived there around 8:30 AM. Robie or Jimmy was not there. Two other sales people tried to help us out. But, we waited for them to show up.
When they finally arrived we started the paper work. The credit check went well according to Jimmy. So, all we had to do was wait for a man named Don from California to give the go ahead. Needless to say, we were at the dealership for several hours. By the end of the day we walks out of there empty handed and was told to come back that day. Jimmy told us he was going to go to the bank where Don was and get it done. He told us to come back later in the evening. So, with the kids we came back to the lot to finish everything up.
We were told that Don had left the bank and that we needed to give them a call the following Thursday to get our paperwork on the top of the pile of applications. I called Jimmy and let him know we were giving him the call he asked for. He asked me to repeat what he was supposed to be doing for us. I reminded him and then he placed me on hold. I was on hold for atleast 15-20 minutes. He never came back on the line. So, I hung up and never recieved a call back from him. I later called to speak with the owner of the dealership. I was then transferred to a represenative who took my complaint. And told me that I needed to speak with a Mr. Sullivan. But, also said the fact that we had no job means the deal could not have been made.
When I asked about the cash. I was told that that was between me and Robie. I still have not recieved a call back from the dealership nor the money.
There really was no damage. Except time was wasted and our hopes of getting a new car died. I expected the dealership to uphold their end of the bargain. With either cash in hand or a new car. I haven't filed anything yet. And I am actually still trying to find the name of the actual owner of the dealership.

My husband I and purchased a new 1999 Kia Sportage in May of 1999. It immediately went into the shop for an air conditioner leak, then after another couple of months it had to return for the same problem. While that may have been repaired, our Kia spent 10 times in the shop at the dealership in the 7 months that we owned it. Repairs were made to it including replacing the lifters, replacing and fixing the head gasket, and replacing the gas gauge twice and that was still not repaired when we traded the vehicle in.
Although the representatives in the service department of Buzz Post dealt with my husband and I very curteously despite a few emotional breakdowns of mine, the representative from Kia, Mr. John Milner was not cordial. I had contacted Kia Consumer Affairs on two separate occaision speaking to a representative named Jessica who assured me that someone would return my calls in 5-7 business days - no one ever did.
Mike Carlson with Buzz Post put us in touch with Mr. Milner, who refused to repurchase back the vehicle stating that the repairs that were being made to our vehicle were, common repairs made to any new vehicle. We had purchased this vehicle as an economy vehicle to be reliable transportation for me considering I drive roughly 75 miles per day to and from work.
The car was nothing but a huge headache that caused my husband and I an enormous amount of stress and downtime with our jobs since we were constantly shuttling the vehicle in and out of service. We were going to file a complaint with the BBB, but during the process of receiving the information, we happened upon an opportunity to trade in the Kia on another vehicle that we are much happier with. Unfortunately, we did lose money since the Kia was only 7 months old when we traded it for the other vehicle, but sometimes I feel that it is so worth it to not have the stress and anxiety looming over me on a daily basis. Please warn other consumers of the Kia scam they may encounter.
