Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a 2006 Hyundai Elantra August 16th, 2006 from Concord Hyundai. When signing final paperwork, service advisor #1338, Allen Ray Haggard informed me that I would receive free oil changes and filters for life. I took advantage of this promise first on August 10th, 2007. On Monday January 7th, 2008, I went to the dealer for the second oil and filter change to find that the dealership was gone. I called the closest Hyundai dealer who is in Antioch, and he refused to honor the agreement. I am furious that Hyundai Motor America has allowed shady practices such as this to occur under the Hyundai name.

Economically, this will cost me >$500.00 to pay to have the oil and filter changed over the next ten years.

I purchased a 2005 Hyundai Elantra from this dealer July 25, 2006. At the time, I also purchased an extended warranty for $1995.00 plus applicable taxes. The warranty had a cancellation clause which I exercised August 31, 2006 well within the 60 day limit. After repeated telephon calls to determine the status of my refund, I wrote a leeter to the business office requesting resolution. No reply was forthcoming.

I then contacted Hyundai America Consumer Affairs who checked into the matter and indicated they had submitted the refund check to the dealer within 30 days of my initial cancellation request. This conversation occurred in October. Since then I have made repeated attempts to contact the business office. I am asked to identify myself and then told the person is in a meeting and will return the call.

This have not happened. I registered a complaint with the Better Busienss Bureau of Oakland/San Francisco. The dealership had until today to reply. No reply has been received. At the very leat, I want my refund and any interest which has been accruing on that portion of the financing.

I currently have no extended warranty - don't want one either, however I do want the refund I am entitled to. The $1995.00 may not seem like a lot to some but it is to me.

The day I drove this truck off the lot I have had nothing but problems, I was lied to by the sales rep, who now does not work for this dealership. This truck have been in the shop every since I purchased it, I made the fist payment on March 8, 2004 to keep from having a missed payment on my credit report. The truck lost power on the freeway while my family and I were on our way to church.

They gave me several cars to drive as a loaner, while they fix my truck but my truck HAVE NEVER BEEN FIXED, every time I pick it up I have to take it right back with the same problem, then they find something else wrong with it. This have happened 5 times.
