Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a 08 Chev Silverado truck and put down $3000.00 for the down payment. When the finance person took my cash out of my hands he said he would have no problem getting me financed. Now I am getting treats left on my answering machine stating if I don't give them more money I would need to return the truck or they will report it stolen.

This is causing me a tremendous amount of stress, and when my disabled adult son heard the message he thought I had got arrested because I was late coming home from work.

I purchased a SUV from them in May 2007 with a trade in of a Lexus IS 300. At this time George chevy was to take my name off of the Lexus and put it tn there name. I recieved a ticket notification from the City Of Norwalk Parking Enforcement Center regarding a ticket that was issued on the vehicle months after the initial trade in. George cherolet never chnaged ownership on this vehicle, and now i am recieving a notice stating that the payment for the ticket will be garnished from my taxes if not paid.

Because of this mistake by George Chevrolet I am facing a garnishment for a ticke that I am not responsible for nor a vehicle I no longer have.I have tried to clear this matter up once with George Chevrolet and nothing have been done. This is not good good work.the main problem is that I have until January 2nd to have this resolved r my taxes will be garnished, which I think is unfair to me as a previous customer. This was suppose to be taken care of by the dealership within 30 days of my tradein, it is now a year and a half later.

The latest fiasco resulted from me taking my 97 Astro van in for service. The van was running rough for about a minute after being restarted.

I was told that the problem was a defective crank position sensor.I had them replace this part. (Note: they were going to charge me over 300.00 for this part even though it was a warranty item. I was the one who had to pull out a copy of the Major Guard warranty and inform the dealer of this. They also suggested I replace plugs, wires dist cap and rotor.

Since I didnt want to pay the 1200.00 price tag for basically a major tune up, I chose to get it done at my local mechanic.

The van continues to have the same problem as when I brought it to the dealer in the first place.

When I brought it back they said that the reason for the problem was a cracked plug.

They wanted $240.00 more to replace the faulty plug ($180.00)of this was labor.

When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that the manager refused to speak with me and that I had to come to the dealership. This is when I realized that there is absolutely no appreciation for the customer or spirit of service at this establishment.

The only reason I have even taken my car to them is the convenient location. I have encountered the same incompetence every time I have gone there. I guess I have learned my lesson now. I will never return to this dealership again.

After almost $900.00 of unnecessary repairs and loads of frustration I have yet to resolve this.
