I purchase a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe in July 2006. When I took my car in for it's first oil change (3000 mi) I reported to Infiniti of Montclair that I was having trouble fueling the car. The car would only take 7-10 gal of gasoline then click of at the pump as if it was full. I tried various gas stations, pumps and still could not put in more than 7-10 gal of gasoline at a time.
The dealership reported to me that they had other G35 Coupes with the same problem and the Infiniti Engineers were working on the problem. Each time I took the vehicle for required service I reported the problem and still no solution. In the mean time,my bluetooth feature,(which I paid extra for) began to have problems. Outside callers could not hear me, I sounded broken up and garbled. I took my car in for that problem, which Infiniti has informed me they cannot duplicate, yet the problem still exists. To date, I still cannot fill my car with fuel, if it is below a half a tank, which is what the dealership suggests.
I am concerned for the safety factor involved with this problem, in a recent study, I saw on tv, it showed the G35 rated the worst in a front and rear collision. My concern is if this tank has vapors that can't be realease in the tank, should someone rear end me with that cause an explosion? The bluetooth feature meant to be handsfree for safety while driving can not be used. Long trips are out of the question unless there are gas stations close enough for fill ups before the half tank mark..
