Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Since I bought my car (G35, 2005) the air bag light was on. I still had the factory warrantee on it so I took it to this dealer. When I went back to get my car I was charged for air bag problem diagnosis & repair. Shant (person helping me) was very rude. All I asked him was why they never called me to let me know that something was wrong & it was not covered under warrantee & he kept repeating that as part of the inspection they diagnosed loose connection in the passenger side & they had to repair it. I told him it would be courteous to call your customer & let them know before performing something that will cost money.

I asked him how about if it was an amount I could not afford? He had no answer. All he said that it was their responsibility to do that. I said wasnt it your responsibility to call before operating on someones vehicle? I also asked him, maybe I would want to take my car somewhere else to fix. He was very offensive the whole time & did not want to apologize because he believed he made no mistake. At the end I asked to talk to his manager & he said he is the manager himself. I said: so you are the judge & attorney all by yourself, theres nobody above you to complain. he said: so now you are calling me a criminal? That was funny. I had no idea what he was talking about. He was extremely rude & offensive with no manners. 0 customer service!

I had to pay $ 134.95 for something I had not agreed on but they had my car & I had no other option.

Paid $600 today to have new front pads and rotors installed on my 2004 G35 which has only 24400 miles. I was shocked because on my two previous cars brakes were replaced at 65000 or more. I got into a long discussion with the service rep and found out the warrantee for the brakes and rotors had been extended to three years. Well, my warrantee expired last November. In September the dealership told me my front brakes measured 35% and did not advise me when to replace. 35%? Out of 100%? Sounds like a problem to me. Also, how could my brake pads go from 35% in September to next to nothing with damaged rotors on 1/17/07?

No one advised me to take action to prevent this problem. I could have had the break work done in October or November.

Had I known about the warrantee extension, I could have had free pads and rotors before it expired.

Seems they neglected to let me know that, thereby saving themselves some money and subsequently making $600 off me.

Important to note that when I called in before November to ask when exactly did the warrantee expire, the service person told me I had one more year. I always thought it was 3 years. He did not specify one more year of what so I assumed I was covered for defects.

Today, Sylvia told me that brakes and rotors are normal maintenance costs and are not now nor have been covered by Infiniti. This is a lie, since two months ago my brakes were covered.
