Lithia Toyota

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

On March 3 I purchased a 2008 Toyota Sienna with the Lifetime Oil Contract for $ 479.00. On March 17th I canceled the contract and they said it would take 4-6 weeks to get my money. On June 30th I contacted them because I had not received my money. This was almost 3 months later. After they contacted the headquarters I was told it would take another 4-6 weeks to get my money.

I sent a complaint by Email to Lithia Corp Headquarters in Medford, OR. The proceedure said they would get back to me right away. I didn't record the Email but it was about July 3rd.

The cost is not much because interest rates are so low now, but the time and lack of caring about the situation is really turning me off of Lithia. I asked if they could expedite it but they don't even bother to answer.

Purchased a Tundra 2005 April of 05 in the first year tires tread wear excessive about 8 months old tires needed replacing during the 8 months I constantly complained to service manager about it he said and did nothing. Service was terrible and not freindly. Second set of tires started wearing outer tread in a month worse than first pair and got less miles with 2nd set than first complained to service manager and customer relations manager several times no action or assistance was given in the mean time recall on front suspension lower ball joint replacement had it done Toyota come to find out did not do wheel alignment after front end work 6 months later after tread gone and speaking with goodyear tire rep. discovered alignment should have been done. Spoke to customer relations manager again she went to service department made arrangements for the next day for me to return and for the service dept. guy to work on a deal on at least 2 new tires. Next day not only did he refuse to discuss the tires as asked to he was rude and yelled at me they were not responsible and he will not argue about it that ended the visit as I was so angry. Well truck just turn 3 years old and just purchased a 3rd set of tires not cheap. I have been calling for weeks the the general manager he has not returned a call.

We were never told When we bought our2005 Avalon that we could not put studded tires on that car. My husband and myself are both handicapped and are unable to put chains on our car when traveling or going out of the house. We live in snow country. I talked to Toyota and they basically said it is to bad but they are not responsible. The dealership should have made us aware that we could not put studded tires on our car, we would not have bought it.

We owned a Camery last time and did not suspect for one minute that we could not put studded tires on our new car. So basically we have a car we can't use in the winter itme. I am sure that we are not the only ones that have come across this problem. Is there not a disabilities act that they should make us aware that people with disasbilities can not own a Avalon for this reason.

The economic damage incurred is that if we want to travel in the snow, where we live, we have to buy another vehicle that can accept studded tires. Otherwise was can not go out of the house if it snows.

I negotiated a deal with Lithia Toyota of Springfield OR on Monday, 10/27/03, signed the paperwork for a 2004 Toyota Prius with a specific VIN. They were trading another car dealer for the vehicle that they just sold me and the vehicle was to arrive the following day (10/28). They would deliver the car to me in the afternoon of the 28th.

Instead, I received a phone call stating that they had sold the car out from underneath me and that I wouldn't be getting the car. They sent a driver to return my trade-in to me and took the loaner car back from me on the night of the 28th. They sent deal recision paperwork with the driver that I was to sign. I decided to sign it and move on and try and locate the vehicle from another dealer. I made that decision because if I didn't sign it they wouldn't be able to nullify my loan paperwork through Toyota Financial Services and I didn't want to be paying for a car I didn't receive.

I bought a warranty on a used Nissan truck which cost me $2,240.00. The company called Smartchoice 2000 is no longer in business which was contracted through Lithia Toyoto. In the contract is states that a customer can use a certified mechanic if you do not live in the vacinity of Medford, Or. Lithia employee;s tell me that I have to take my vehicle to their shop only to get it repaired. I am 75 miles from Medford, Or, and Redding, Ca. which leaves me with a great burden in getting my vechicle repaired.

I recently had a transmission repaired and it is still leaking. I now have to find ways to get to their station, which puts a burden on me since I am a 66 yr. old woman and live in a remote area.

I also am concerned about having only a 90 day guaranee for the job just done. I paid a lot of money alread for this warranty and feel this is not a just case.

I is a hardship in getting to the repair shop, and I have to get a motel or rent a car to get back and forth to my home until they repair my vehicle.
