Consumer Complaints & Reviews

At the end of March 2011, I went to Miller Toyota because the power door lock came loose and caused problems for locking doors and windows. I did have the master switch replaced April 25, 2008. Well, the warranty had run out after 1 year. I paid $502.78 for that repair and now it's loose. I asked to speak to the manager Mr. **, but he was out to lunch. I went home and called 4 times and left messages and even had him paged and he never returned my calls.

A few days later, I called and asked for copies of all repairs I have had done since 2004. I went and picked them up and noticed 2 copies on yellow paper and all other copies were on white paper. The 2 yellow copies were of the master switch I had replaced in 2008. Both were in my name but one was a duplicate. I paid $502.78 for repair. On duplicate, I noticed that charge for same repair was $391.78. What the difference was, labor on duplicate was $54.88 and pick up time was 15:09 25 Apr 08. On the other invoice the labor was $165.88 and pick up time was 14:27 25 Apr 08. That was the one I paid for.

I spoke with corporate and they said go to dispute or arbitration. Well, that was denied. I went back to corporate and they said to deal with Miller Toyota. By now after looking through all repairs that I have paid in last 3 years which add up to over $6000.00, I saw so much work and rework that I have paid for. When i spoke to Mr. **, 4/11/11, and asked about invoices, he could not give me an answer and said he would look into it. On 4/13/11, I was called and told would be out a couple of days and for me to bring my van in and the work on switch and latch on my trunk would be fixed for free.

Also I could have a rental for free for as long as needed. I mentioned that I was having problems with fan belt and she said she would get back to me on that issue. My problem is the 2 invoices, which I have not gotten an answer for. How many others have copies like this in their files and don't know about them. What do they mean? Since 2004, I have been with Miller Toyota. Now I did ask why my address on repairs during that time was a Rancho Cucamonga address, and they said computer error. I think after 2008 with master switch replaced my address was finally changed to Fullerton. I know in my heart I got the biggest "Lemon" ever made.

It is a 2000 Toyota Sienna XLE with 92,000 miles on it now. I did have a new transmission replaced after purchase but still under warranty. I even had preventative maintenance in 2004 and paid $834.00 for that it 42494 miles at that time. Used engine replaced in 2007. Extended warranty ran out. It had 63484 miles on it. That cost was $4907.12. There is so much more I could show in black and white but I don't know who to go to for help! I don't trust Miller Toyota anymore. I still think I deserve an answer on the 2 yellow invoices. How many others have invoices and wrong addresses in their files. All done with the name of Andrew ** as service advisor. Oh, there is more tell but I want to know what you think about my situation. I cannot afford Toyota anymore. The corporate office said, I could have gone to a different Toyota dealer if I wasn't happy! I asked if that would have made a difference and he replied "I don't know". I trusted them. but I don't now! Please tell me what you think!

I went to this dealership to trade in my 2008 Corolla for a 2010 Matrix. While filling out paperwork, the salesman came in and asked, "When did you get in the accident on the left front? " I purchased this vehicle new at this dealership and it has never had so much as a door ding in it. The salesman said the appraiser was basing his statement on the alignment of the left windshield pillar and the left front quarter panel.

The alignment is off approximately 1/16th of an inch. I showed him on his new cars on the lot where the alignment was more pronounced than on my trade-in. I told the appraiser that this car had never been in any accident or sustained any damage at any time. He then told me it was probably lot damage at the dealer I originally bought the car from and they had repaired it and didn't tell me about it. When I told him that I had bought the car at this dealership he said, "I wasn't working here two years ago."

I normally would have simply left the dealership at that point and made a note not to return, but when I bought my 2008 Corolla at this dealer two years ago, the used vehicle appraiser came in while I was filling out paperwork and asked me, "When did you get in the accident on the left rear?" He went out and showed me some supposed damage (that I never did really see) and told me it lowered the value of my trade-in several thousand dollars. Since the deal had already been made, there was no deduction from the trade-in value of the car and I simply thought there was some unseen damage to my trade that I didn't know about when I originally purchased the vehicle. I never thought about it until they did the exact same thing on a vehicle that I know had never sustained any damage.

I left this dealership and went to Power Toyota of Irvine the next day for two reasons. The first to see if they had the car I was looking for and the second to have them look at my Corolla and see if they saw any damage. I explained what had happened at Miller Toyota and they took a close look at the car. Their conclusion was that this car had never been in any accident and the small misalignment was most likely a minor manufacturing defect. They subsequently offered me high Blue Book for the car and took it in on trade for a 2010 Matrix.

Took my car in for a routine oil change and basic maintenance check. Was given the following giant list of things to repair: brakes, battery, engine cooling system, air cabin filter, water pump, alignment, automatic transmission fluid, tire mount balance, new tires, and replace HEPA filter. The estimated total would be $1,722.76.

Took the car to another mechanic who said only the rear breaks, the transmission, and eventually the tires need attention. Cost: roughly $400.

On Dec.2008. I was out of my house when suddenly I received a phone call from my aunt, saying that a manager and a salesperson from Miller Toyota, were at my house waiting for me to sign some documents. When I never expect them to go. When I arrived to the house they told me that they were there to talk to my aunt (since she is my co-signer), and to me. Because they wanted me to get the car, the one that I have right now. It's a Toyota RAV4.

In another words I felt that I was forced to buy the car. I had to sign the documents because my aunt had already sign her part (they convinced her) and by nice words they talk to me saying that if I get the car in probably 6 months to a year I could improve my credit and besides they would change for another one that I really like for low payments. So I had to signed the contract, because they convenced me, and they would not leave my house until I sign the contract.
