I purchased a car that was advertised to be in excellent condition. It was an internet advert, but I took a screen shot of the advertisement, also stating the VIN number, so I do have this if required. Soon after purchasing the car, the glove compartment "fell out" and I saw that it had been glued into place! When I called Mr. Melki he was rude and unhelpful and slammed the phone down on me. I accepted this and decided to live with this situation as he was so rude, I didn't want to deal with him.

Yesterday evening I got a flat tire and when I went to get the spare, saw that there wasn't one. I called him to ask him for the spare (I am under the impression that a car in "excellent" condition should have a spare). He was extremely rude and again slammed the phone down on me. I wrote him a text message and said I want the spare tire. He told me something to the effect of "you don't know who you are dealing with and you're going to pay for this".

I am actually now in a predicament. Do I follow on with this case and live with the fear that he might carry out his threat - or do I fight for my rights to have a car in "excellent" condition as the advert promised. I sent him a text message asking, once again, for the spare tire and he sent me one back, which I have saved on my phone - using very foul language which I don't want to repeat here. I can take a photo of this message and attach it together with the original advertisement for this car.
