Fair Deal Auto Sales

Tampa, FL

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I wanted to write a sincere Thank You to Alex, Amy, Sammi, and Dennis over at Fair Deal Auto Sales. I researched for 5 weeks before finding a 98' GS400 with reasonable mileage in great shape.

For the test drive it didn't start first time we got in - we all laughed and they replaced the battery for me. It had a bad vibration at 55mph, they said no problem and gave me 150 bucks credit towards a rotation and balance. They showed me what they paid for the car and gave me a more than fair trade in for my old Lexus and I was happy. I know from my research I did not pay too much for this car.

After a week of loving my new ride, I went to replace the battery in the keyless remote and didn't realize that I accidentally triggered the car alarm. Went to start it the next evening and she wouldn't start. I was furious and had it towed for free (AAA) to Fair Deal.
They didn't complain, they bent over backwards to help me. They spent five days checking the entire ignition/starter/fuel/alarm system piece by piece until they nailed down the problem, reprogrammed the computer alarm system, and fixed the keyless remote - five days! and they didn't charge me a dime!
They are friendly, professional, and they do what they say they are going to do.

I recommend them to everyone I know and want to thank them again for their hard work making my new (used) car a great deal!

I went in there to buy a car for myself. The salesmen, Michael W., showed me a Sebring. He assured me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. I paid for the car. He seemed very nice. That same exact night, the car was shaking a lot. I brought it in the next day and thought that it was going to die on the way. As soon as I walked in, Mike W. niceness no longer exists. It was a bad act. He told me that I had to pay more money to get it fixed, it will cost $650. I told him what he said to me the previous day and he did not care what so ever. He even just told me that if I left the car there, it will be impounded, he kept smiling as if he enjoyed what was happening to me. I then drove home, on my was, on 275, the car just broke down.

I called Fair deal and they told me that I had to pay to tow it there and pay to fix it. There even was a woman there with the same complaint as me. She purchased a Honda accord and it broke down, the transmission was very bad and needed a new one. They told her they couldn't refund her a dime, like myself. I had no money to fix this problem and had to get my family's help. These people are scam artists! All of them. The manager, Weam, did not care as well as Michael W. and Mohammad, the owner. The secretary named Amy was even laughing and this place needs to be shut down! I lost over 800 dollars with the tow, fixing the car, parts. I was so upset that I lost time from work and it cost me a weeks pay at work.

Mr. M. refuses to return the deposit in the amount of $400, deposit for a Honda VIN **. I asked for my money back, because the dealer refused to repair the signal light, front driver side, and the radio. And the dealer did not put in writing the repair needed on the car throttle. I did not trust that the dealer would make the necessary repairs, if they refused to put it in writing. Initially, they refused to admit that there was a major issue with the car. When I called to get my refund within 3 days, Mr. M. was rude and abusive on the phone. I'm convinced that this dealer is very dishonest. To this date, he has not returned my deposit.

My 19 yr old college son purchased a 92 Nissan Sentra from this dealer. He drove it 4 days and it died. He had to have it towed from where he was stranded 90 miles away to a mechanic. The starter is nonoperational as well as the engine. The entire engine needs to be replaced. The mechanic states that there is absolutely no way that the dealer could not have known the very poor state this vehicle was in. "Fair Trade" does stand behind their products and knowingly sold a bum vehicle deliberately taking advantage of a young college student.

purchase the car for 7900 dollars and purchase an extended warrenty that was 1200 dollars and was supposed to cover up to 5 years and 100,000 miles additional. the total price came up to be $10,000 includes tax, title, dealer fee and warranty. wheb i first got the car the dealer ship didn't told me about the recalls that it had. also the first day that i got the vechile i drove it home the check engine light came on and is still on till this day and i call these people up and they said they would fix the promblem for free. went up thier the next day and they told me take it next door and my mechinal at proffessinal auto repair will take a look at it, the check engine light was on and he used the computer to tell me what it said he told me that the air control sensor is bad.

okay i asked him that thr boos at fair deal auto sales will pay fot it, he called him up and he said no iam not paying for it so i had to pay $75.00 out of pocket, also the same day that i was home my car would not switch out of park, i called the guy up at fair deal and he said that i knew that the brake control system is missed up, so i was like great what do i do now, he called this locksmith guy up and he came out and took a look at the vechile and he told me that i am goona have to put a paper clip on the brake light sensor switch, so that worked called the next day to get the recalls down at the vw dealer, he told me that i have a broke oil tube and would cost 75.00 to replace, i told him go ahead and do that, another 75.00 out of pocket., 3rd day drove the car and the check engime light came on again. went to auto zome and he told me that the mass air flow sensor is bad, so i was oh great, i just got this car and i have been having all these promblems with it.

i havent gotten replace cause i haven't had the money. 4th day i called the mortor silk warranty people and first they told me to add the fluids into the oil and transmission vw told me that u can't add anything into the transmission because it is a sealed compantent, then i talked to mortor silk what vw said and they told me that i have to go back to the dealer to get my money back, went back to faiir deal auto sales and would not give me a full refund on the warranty they only gave me $250.00 back and then king me into the 6 month 6 miles warranty, and on the website its says that it is free they charged me $500.00 for the same one, also the car leakes water on the doors and the hatch back it feels like i am in a boat i can't even drive my car in the rain because it leaks so bad. i have been fighting with these people since june 18 and i have not gotten any response back please if u could get me my full redund back on the car that would be great
