I bought a car from what I thought was the owner but it turns out he do not have the title the dealer does. This tells me that Mike, whom I paid to, just sells me the car but Andy has the title and who owns a car dealer shop. They parked the cars out by the road and make it look like one owner. Now, they want me to pay the tax, title and tag fee and sales fee, like I went to a car dealer shop.
I paid $1,000 for the car from Mike and he told me to go get the title from his friend at 8:00. When I was ready to do that, he said it's going to be $380 but when you buy a car from a owner, you give them the money and receive the title signed over to you with the owner as is.
The same day, the car broke down an hour later before I could get it home. When I called him, he said, "You gave me $1,000 for the car. Whatever the problems are, you are responsible, for it was sold as is." I have to get my title from someone else. When I called the dealer and tell him that's not right, he said, "That's between you and Mike because he owns the car but I have the title." So if he is a dealer and when a dealer sells a car and it breaks down, they fix but because his friend sold the car, all he can do is charge me for the title, tax, sales and registration.
