I purchased a vehicle from Stone Mountain Chrysler Jeep Dodge on 6-12-2010. Due to the dealerships shady and undermined business I opted out of the deal returning the vehicle per the owner Darryl F.'s suggestion and my own conscience. Long and short the contract reads as follows: $25,000 financed which it was not, $5526 as a down payment, $2,000.00 in MFG rebates with an unpaid balance of $25,000.00 which would have been paid by the Chrysler retiree incentive plan. Instead of documenting the retail installment as such it currently reads as if I financed 25,000 which you can understand why I want a return agreement showing a credit of each line item. I would think as a part of their auditing records the dealership like any business would show this kind of documentation outlining any debits and credits as they occur.
Long and short the vehicle (Chrysler 300 Touring Signature Edition, with vehicle identification #2C3-CA5CV9AH-221497) purchased at 1848 miles was returned on Monday, June 14th as a no deal after one the dealership's GM tried to be deceitful and one, sale a car as "new" with close to 2000 miles, two - overstate the initial price of the vehicle on the retail installment contract, three stealing a grill that I had paid for on the car and replacing it with the factory installed grill.
During the cancellation process I met with the finance manager Guenter M., on Monday, June 14th at which time I asked for a copy of the cancelled retail installment contact outlining a credit of each line item billed so that I can have as a part of my records and audit information just in case this transaction comes back and bite me in the butt. Anytime a company goes through such lengths to ***** *** over you have to dot all of your I's and cross all of your t's. Guenter's response to my request, was "No." In fact, his exact words were "You can bring a copy of your documents in and I can write void on that." (my residential location was over an hour away and a document of that caliber would never l have ANY leverage in court because it would be my word against theirs).
I continued my quest for such information by leaving a message on the voicemails of both the General Manager William H. as well as the finance manager I have yet to hear to hear from them. Persistent I called the finance manager Guenter back (the 16th of June). Although the documents read Stevie R.; another questionable item), the person I dealt with was Guenter. I stated one again that one I left a message and two I am requesting for the second time a canceled contract agreement. I went on to say that anytime someone returns an item no matter the business they are given documentation of such a transaction referencing the credit(s) due to them. I did however; receive the receipts that show the credits for the down payment totaling $5526, but this is useless if I don't show that the entire transaction was canceled.
I gave the dealership until mail time today, June 21st to have the document mailed to my home address. Local mail in Georgia takes 1-2 days max. Since I have not received such a document and the dealerships representatives are ignoring my request I am writing to you. I am requesting a return agreement showing the return of the vehicle and a credit of the entire transaction as outlined on the Retail Installment Sales Contract Simple Finance Charge Document as well as the Contract to Purchase still showing a +$25,000 due - set for financing when in fact this amount was set to be paid by the Chrysler retiree incentive program as a gift to their employee - zero dollars were financed.
