Let me start by saying my salesman was helpful and knowledgable. I like my truck and the Toyota truck (we also have a Prius). I would have placed this concern at the dealer's website but did not see any means to do it.
I bought a 2009 Tacoma 8-5-09 at which time all paperwork was signed and the dealership took possession of my car (trade-in).
I was surprised to find a late payment notice for my car in my mailbox later in the month dated 8-24-09. It took 3 days (and I feel my direct salesman's intervention) to resolve the matter with the credit union. He explained that the Cash For Clunkers deal that caused delays. I still had concerns about my reputation with the credit union but left it at that.
About September 14th I received a letter from the County I lived which appeared to be a title with payoff information. I was confused (I had never received such a thing before when trading in a vehicle) and filed it as I thought it was some kind of payoff documentation.
On about October 6th, I came home to a voice mail from Millie @ Wilson Toyota explaining Marshall County had sent me the title in error and they needed it. I left 2 messages for Millie, but settled for calling my salesman when I didnt hear from her. I told him I preferred to deliver the title myself (to ensire there were no more issues). I brought it in on October 12th (my next day off). While I had my salesman on the phone I also asked about any CD's I accidently left in the car's CD's player. He said he would check and we could make the exchange when I came in Monday.
I brought the signed title in on Monday, and when he went to check on any CD's for me. He came back and told me the car had been sold and off the lot for 2 weeks.
