I purchased A 250 super duty Ford truck new in 2006, from Landmark Ford in Springfield, IL. When the truck hits a rough spot in the road, it shimmies, and becomes uncontrollable. This has been a problem since the truck was new, and has continued to become a safety problem ever since. I recently received a letter from Ford Motor Co. about the problem, but offered no fix, just check the tire pressure. The service department manager says he had never heard, or seen any letter like the one Ford sent us.

The same situation happened on a vehicle purchase I was making from them (a 2004 Ford Explorer) in October 2003. After the delivery they changed the terms and demanded more money. I agreed and reached a new deal. I explained this situation to the dealer in january, and forewarned them to only agree to a deal they will keep. The sales manager profoundly assurred me that the deal reached on January 17th would be kept. However, on January 21st, he backed out of the deal after I purchased insurance, had driven the vehicle for four days and had work arranged for modifying it with accessories.

When I first test drove the car my boyfriend and I noticed a smell; when we parked and opened the car antifreeze was shooting all over the place. The dealer promised to take care of this problem, the problem was apparently not taken care of and continued after the purchase of the car along with a bad oil leak, poor alignment and a bad water pump.
The dealer did not want to take care of any of these problems until I fought and became aggravated and they decided to take the car and repair the problems that should of been inspected before the car was sold. The manager of used car sales told me basically tough luck at first that I need to solve these issues and all he would cover would be the alignment. Now Landmark ford has had the vehicle I purchased since May 30 and it is now going on June 4, everyday John has promised me the BMW I purchased back and everyday he calls and tells me about another problem the car has and that it will be one more day.
I believe I was sold a bad car with bad problems and was scammed, the car should of been thoroughly inspected before being sold and in my opinion it is not hard to spot an oil leak. So now I have a car I bought and it is still not in my possesion and for all I know there is a major problem with this car.
