I got an offer from the navigation place to update my navigation for the low price of $129.00. I called in the middle of Dec 2009 and asked when the latest navigation update for my car would be available as I do not update every year. I wanted to but right after it was updated. I was told by the navigation place that the update for my car 2008 ex would be available on Dec. 18, 2009. I then called the Bloomington Infiniti to schedule my update and have $350.00 worth of service done. I was then told it would cost me $59.00 to have them install the navigation update. I asked to be sure that I would get the 09-10 updated maps and was told I would get whatever the code told them to give me.

Being concerned that I would not get the newest version, I called the navigation place back to be sure my code would get me the latest update and was told that my code had nothing to do with it. I spent a couple hours going back and forth between the navigation place and the dealership. Finally, I decided that they must know what they are doing at Infiniti. Imagine my surprise when after 4 hours of service, I got in the car to see it was the old 08-09 that they installed. The first consumer person I spoke to told me that they should have downloaded the update from the navigation place, just like the navigation place told me. The second person to call me from consumer affairs at Infiniti said that the dealership had just received their updated disc. I wonder how many people have paid for an update and not received the most up to date info.

I was very disappointed. I also have a driver side window that has frozen up on me for two years in the winter. None of the other windows freeze up, but it sounds like I might have to just live with it. I'm going to another dealership, I hope they will be more of what I expect for a dealership that sells 40- 50 thousand dollar cars.
