Deacon Jones Kia

Goldsboro, NC

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

My mother purchased a 2003 Kia Sorento at Kia of Greenville in NC. Kia of Greenville didn't have the vehicle I wanted on their lot so they called around and told me they found one at Deacon Jones Kia in Goldsboro, NC. My mother and I waited there all day for my car to be delivered. We saw it come in on a flatbed tow truck. They shined it all up because it was very dirty on the flatbed. It had 84 miles on the odometer when we got it. I have had this car 7 years. I had to replace the two front tires and a front end alignment. I say this because the Sorento is in the shop right now because the calipers are locked up on the front brakes.

The service repairman informed me news I wasn't aware of since the 7 years I have owned the vehicle. The entire front end and some of the brake parts had been replaced. I wrote Kia.com they investigated and Deacon Jones Kia did not report the accident and repaired the Sorento and sold it to Kia of Greenville who sold it to my mother. Kia.com was very nasty and tried to blame me as if I had the accident. I ran a Carfax report on the car and it only showed a small accident I had that was in the rear of the Sorento not the front as Kia.com kept trying to bring this up as if that's how it happened. I told Kia.com that was the rear, I'm talking about the entire front end. I would never buy another vehicle from Kia. This company is underhanded and does not care for their customers.

My car started acting up three weeks ago. It was jerking and feel like vibrations underneath car and in motor area. The check engine light came on so I made it home, parked and called Deacon Jones Kia in Goldsboro NC where I purchased the car in 2007. It is a 2006.5 according to them. This has happened now three times.

Each time except for this one, I park the car, call a wrecker, and borrow cars from family members to get around until they call me to come get mine. At which time, I have to pay someone for driving me approximately 45 miles one way to get this car. As you can see this is really costly to me aside for paying 50 dollars deductible to use an extended warranty each time they don't fix this car. The car ran the first time after getting it back for 2 days. I sent it back by wrecker yet again to prevent further damage and got it back after 6 days and another $50 11/18/09 and today 11/19/09 with the same problem.

I called to Kia and asked for Lesa. I informed her about the problem and she nonchalantly says okay. Well, it isn't okay!! I paid a $1700 extended warranty agreement and $100 dollars in deductible fees and for what? I still making car payments for a car that seem to be NO GOOD! Somebody needs to come form corporate office to show them how to fix this car. Yeah! I am frustrated. This is getting old.

The car is sitting in my yard yet again, and I saw no other recourse but to file a complaint. HELP. Each time I return this car, I am paying and getting nothing for my troubles. I cannot affort car payments and repetitive repair bills, with the excuse it was another part this time, its not the same, but its the same complaint and symptoms. I just can't keep financing their repair business.
