My mother purchased a 2003 Kia Sorento at Kia of Greenville in NC. Kia of Greenville didn't have the vehicle I wanted on their lot, so they called around and told me they found one at Deacon Jones Kia in Goldsboro, NC. My mother and I waited there all day for my car to be delivered. We saw it come in on a flatbed tow truck. They shined it all up because it was very dirty on the flatbed. It had 84 miles on the odometer when we got it. I have had this car 7 years. I had to replace the two front tires and a front end alignment.
I say this because, the Sorento is in the shop right now because the calipers are locked up on the front brakes. The service repairman informed me news I wasn't aware of since the 7 years I have owned the vehicle. The entire front end and some of the brake parts had been replaced. I wrote to kia.com, they investigated and Deacon Jones Kia did not report the accident and repaired the Sorento and sold it to Kia of Greenville, who sold it to my mother. Kia.com was very nasty and tried to blame me as if I had the accident.
I ran a Carfax report on the car and it only showed a small accident I had, that was in the rear of the Sorento not the front, as kia.com kept trying to bring this up as if that's how it happened. I told kia.com that was the rear, I'm talking about the entire front end. I would never buy another vehicle from Kia. This company is underhanded and does not care for their customers. I had to pay for two front tires and a front end wheel alignment, now I have to pay over $1,500 for new brake calipers and the main reason I wrote this is to inform others that I was sold a brand new car that had been in a major accident and never told. Had it not been for the Kia serviceman, I still would have never known.
