Montgomery Mazda

Charlotte, NC

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Since May 11, 2009 when I purchased the 2001 Mazda MPV LX van from Montgomery Mazda in Charlotte, NC, I've been unsuccessful in getting my problem resolved. Montgomery Mazda had a rebuilt transmission and a rebuilt converter installed in a van on February 5, 2008. I purchased the van April 26, 2008. After the purchase, I learned of the installations. The owner of MM told me, "he did not have to inform me of this information."

One year and fifteen days later, while driving back to NC, the van broke down, and it is still in New York State. The Mazda dealer in Amherst, New York has determined that the repairs estimate is approximately $4000-$6000. One repair is a used motor for $4099 and catalytic converter for $1150. I have not had the van repaired, and I'm without a car/van in a town that has no public transportation. The Mazda MPV LX van was discontinued after the 2006 model year. I am with a car. Also, I'm still paying insurance and renting cars as needed.

I purchased a 2001 MPV Mazda. It was not disclosed that a used transmission had been installed(02/05/08). One year and fifteen days later, on my return trip from Buffalo, Ny, my car bust into a smoke covering and stopped. The van was towed by flatbed back to a Mazda dealer. The results were need radiator, motor, headgasket at estimate of $6000-$8000.

Have any of you had success with getting compensated for a bad deal with Mazda? I'm desperate for transportation because I live in a small town with no bus or taxi service. I am without reliable transportation, have spent $1200 in rentals and still paying insurance because it in another state.
