My 1995 Nissan Altima developed a serious problem with the fuel filler neck (upper gas tank) wherein it ruptured, allowing fuel/gas fumes to leak out. Even though the earlier models had a recall for the fuel filler necks, Nissan refused to fix the problem.
Only after the threat of litigation, did they pay 100% to correct the problem. My guess is there are many other 1995 Altimas with the same problem!
This defect turns the Altima's fuel tank into a literal "time bomb"!
