We brought our Acura 2.3 CL for repair to Avalon Honda because of vibration, three times they diagnosed the problem incorrectly. They replaced parts which they think should fix the problem but after spending $1900 plus they still did to fix the problem. The parts manager informed my husband that he thinks its the tramission and advise him to take it to Acura in Northfield. My husband took the car to Acura and it was not the transmission and we paid Acura $1396.00.
I sent an email to the Manager/Owner of Avalon Honda on 10/15/09 and demandng to reimbursement on all the labor cost and the mark ups with all the parts installed. I realize they could not take the parts already used/installed to our car. The Part Manager called my husband and told him they can't reimburse us because the company don't do that.In the first they should have not second guessed what was wrong with the car and they should have told us that their mechanic are not trained to repair Acura car. We spend $1900.00 for unnecessary repairs that was added to our debts, I have to cash savings bond intended for real emergencies just to pay Acura.
I beleive they should reimburse me the labor cost and mark ups of all the parts used for the unnecessary repairs plus $1396.00 paid to Acura.
