I bought a VW Touareq (V6) on Jan 2, 2004. I found that it makes noise when you apply the brake at a low speed. It has gotten worse in the last week. I sent the car to the dealer, but they told me that this is normal in a new car and they said they could not find anything wrong. I don't think this makes sense.

I purchased a 2002 Jetta 1.8T on 4/29/02 and put $7000 down. This is the first new car I have ever purchased and was very excited. Until 2 days later when it felt like the brakes were sporadically engaging while I was driving. I brought it in for service with only about 150 miles on it and was told that the engine control module was programmed for an all wheel drive vehicle and has now been reprogrammed correctly.
OK. Except 4 days later it did the same thing again. And in addition to the brake feeling, it only drove in 3rd gear, no tiptronic, no speedometer, the mileage stopped counting, Selector Lever Position Display not illuminated, Malfunction Indicator Lamp on, and ASR light on. Brought it in for service again and was told it was a loose ground connection which spiked the transmission control module which in turn caused everything speed related to not function properly. So far, this problem is fixed.
For a little over a week everything seemed good. Until my car started vibrating. Everything in the car vibrates all of a sudden when in gear. On the same day it started vibrating, I noticed my carpets were soak and wet. I brought the car back in for service, again. I was told the wetness was caused by a leak from the rubber grommet around the door The carpets were all replaced. In reponse to the vibration, can not duplicate problem, which is funny since I sat in the car with service manager to show him what I was talking about. He has been great with helping me. Of course he now thinks that I am paranoid or I would have never noticed the vibration.
In the first 32 days of Volkswagen ownership, my car needed to be returned for service 3 times, spending a total of 14 days with the mechanics. I received my first car payment bill the same day I brought my car back in for the third time. I feel like a sucker paying for a car I don't trust and am afraid to drive. Volkswagen may be giving me a replacement but I'm not even sure I want it. I was told all the problems were production errors. Wouldn't that mean that all the cars in the same production line would have the same problems?
