Dear Consumer Affairs.com

We ordered a new Subaru Outback 2010 on August 7, 2009. We traded in a 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport under the Cash For Clunkers Program. We gave the salesman a 2,000 deposit and signed a contract. We were paying cash for the car.
Last week our salesman called to tell us he would have our car in 3-5 days. We planned to pick up the car this week.

When my husband called today to get the serial number of the new vehicle for our insurance coverage, our salesman mumbled "oh, you're not getting your car" His dealership had decided to end the program on saturday. no phone call was made to us informing us that they were canceling our deal.

To add to our anger and frustration, the salesman and his manager were utterly unapologetic. They had absolutely no plans to contact us to let us know we would not be getting a car.

To add to this, we now have to go back to the dealership to retrieve our old vehicle (that barely has brakes) Unless they destroyed it, but if they did, I'm sure they would be unapologetic about that too.
