Transmission pressure solonoid was replaced under warrenty 3 years ago on my 2002 L300. It needs to be replaced again and I think the dealer should pay for the repairs since it should not have failed again. Car slams into gears.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I would like to file a complaint about the continuous problems that I have had with my 2003 Saturn VUE and the rude customer service that I have received from the Saturn of English Creek Dealership, as well as the Saturn/GM customer service department.
Six weeks ago, I had my car towed to the Saturn dealership at English Creek,NJ after my car was bucking when I accelerated. This is about the 7-8th time that I have had the same problem with my car(which has 75,000 miles). I was told by Kyle that it would cost $100 to diagnose the problem. After the "diagnosis" I was told that there were engine problems and that it would cost an additional $400 diagnostic fee to actually take the engine apart to determine the problem. I was confused as to why I was paying a double diagnostic fee and Kyle told me that it was charged to customers so that if I decided not to get it fixed at the dealership, the mechanics wouldn't waste their time taking apart the engine without getting paid.
What choice did I have to agree to this, as my car was towed there and would not start? Next I was told that I would need a NEW ENGINE in my car. I was given a quote of $2700 for a gently used engine, or $3800 for a brand new engine. When I questioned how a car with only 75,000 miles even needed a new engine, I was told that I probably didn't change my oil. This upset me because I change my oil regularly. After going back and forth, with what to do, I went with the used engine, which had 17,000 miles on it. I was assured by Kyle that "nobody ever has had to bring their car back with problems because used engines with only 17,000 miles run very smoothly."
Therefore I shelled out $2300 for the used engine. I called around and found a cheaper engine on my own, called Kyle and told him that I found a cheaper engine than what he had quoted me at. He agreed to charge me $2300 and told me that the warranty for this lasted 101 days and it covered all of the parts if there was a problem. Again, he assured me that there would be no problems buying the used engine.
Thirty days after spending this money, my car began bucking again. When I drove the car back to Saturn, I was told the the engine was leaking oil and would cost another $1200 to fix. I was also told that my rear differential needed to be replaced for $1400. Kyle told me that he didn't know which one of these problems was causing the car to buck. I explained that the mechanics who got paid $2300 should not have put a leaking engine in my car and that I would not pay another $1200 to have it fixed. He told me my warranty covered the $21 part to stop the leak, but not the $1179 for labor.
At this time, I was 5 months pregnant and very upset that I was expected to pay more money for something that I feel wasn't fixed right the first time(leaking engine). I told Kyle this and he told me that he didn't like my tone and that he wasn't going to argue with me. I asked to speak to the manager Mike Both, which I did. He was very sarcastic and spoke down to me saying that nobody else has had problems with used engines and I just had bad luck and there was nothing that they could do.
I explained to Mike Both that this is the second time that this has happened to me. Last year I had spent $800 on a new fuel injector and a month later I had to get the same fuel injector replaced because according to Saturn, " bad gasoline with debris caused erosion in the brand new fuel injector." I had to pay for the same part and labor AGAIN. In addition to having new fuel injectors replaced twice, and a new engine put in my car, I have also had to get a brand new transmission put into my car when it had less than 20,000 miles on it.
I bought this car brand new and have spent $5000 on repairs for things that should not happen in a car with this few miles.
I left the dealership crying, and because I was 5 months pregnant, I had to call my sister to follow me home because I was extremely upset by how both men at the dealership treated me.
When I returned home, my husband called the dealership and argued with the manager about how I was treated. The manager called back and apologized and said he was willing to work with the corporate office to see if I could get cost assistance.
I spent a week on the phone with a customer service rep, and I was then transferred to a district specialist through GM/Saturn named Thomas Walker . I was not told why my case was transferred to the specialist, but I have attempted calling this specialist 6-7 times by phone, only to be told by the service rep that he will call me. It has been a week of me calling, and him not returning my calls and I still have no answers as to whether or not Saturn is going to cover the cost of the leaking engine. In all, it has been almost 3 weeks of dealing with incompetent, rude customer service reps. I cannot and should not have to pay for something that was just replaced.

The power steering on my 2004 saturn ion stops working on and off. When it stops, the steering wheel is very hard to turn. This has happened at least 5 times. The car is now at the dealer and they want about $650 plus labor to fix it. We have spoken to Saturn and been told the dealer would take 10% off the cost of the part.
none yet, a possible bill of over $1000
