Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I purchased a van, this was the secondtime i brought from them. they said they would give me a good deal and i went for it after all the paper work was done i told them icouldnt afford it and they said it was nothing to do about it . so i stayed with the car was having problems after problems kept going back and forth to the shop and the last time iwent to take the car back to them i wa told they went out ofbusiness. i have brought a transmission, egrs valve 4 tires and other things that people have told i shouldnt have brought for a 2005 town and country.

This claim involves the following companies: 1 - Brooklyn Dodge of Kings Highway Brooklyn, NY 11234 Phone: 718-. On Nov. 12, 2007 I purchased a 2004 BMW 530i (VIN: WBANA ****) with 47,222 Miles. The BMW Warranty ended at 50,000 miles. However, Brooklyn Dodge said they would Warranty the car for one year. On June 17th, 2008 at 2:30AM my husband a (NY Police Officer) was stranded on the Highway after a long tour of duty. The Transmission on the car failed. The BMW was towed to the nearest Transmission Auto Repair Shop;

Star Transmission & General Repair INC. of East Tremont Ave Bronx, NY 10460

At Star Transmission, I was informed that in order to check for the transmission problem a "work order most be signed". I emphasized that repair should not be carried out until I was given an estimate of the cost. The next contact from Star was to inform me that the part would cost about $500.00 and with labor $2000.00. A few days past (Star said waiting for BMW parts) and the next contact, I was presented with a bill for $4,888.00.

I contacted Brooklyn Dodge for help, believing that the BMW was covered for One Year by Brooklyn Dodge. Brooklyn Dodge then informs me that the BMW has an Extended Warranty from PREMIER DEALER SERVICES of 45,000 mile beyond the BMW warranty. In the initial purchase of the car I was NOT told this, nor even any specific procedure to follow in the event of a problem arising which wold need a claim to be filed.

2 - PREMIER DEALER SERVICES: Refuses to honor the claim because the correct steps in filing a claim were not followed (as stated above, I was not aware of the correct steps). I spoke to the Claims Manager Jon, and explained the situation from whom I was awaiting a call back, but instead I received an unsigned letter of denial from the Claims Administrator. I am facing a bill of $4,888.00 from Star Transmission and they are not releasing my car until the bill is paid in full. Needless to say,I am not in a position to pay this bill which is why I am making this complaint alon with the fact that I have already paid for an extended warranty to avoid situations such as this.

The auto salesman told me he had several persons who saw the on-line ad for a BMW530i. The ad is a lie. The actual price was $2995 higher when I got there. They advertise a leather intioror. It is not. They said it has all wheel drive. It does not. They said it is certified to 100,000 miles, it is not. They are doing this with several of there vehicles thereby waisting a lot of peoples time and money just to get them into their showroom. It needs to stop. They should be sanctioned. If there ad was accurate I would not have driven all the way to their facility. I do intend to contact Kia and Chrysler to let know who is representing them.

I live 50 miles from there. It cost me a half a day and 5 gallons of gas.

I bought 2 cars from a dealership and they bothe broke down. Both cars were towed back to dealer. I told the dealer I don't want any car from them and I'm cancelling my contract. The dealer never told the bank and now the bank is stating I owe them this money. Both cars I only had for a day before they were towed back to dealer. I want them to give the bank back there money because I don't have any of these cars in my possession they are on there lot or service center.

This is causing alot of stress and I already suffer from panic attacks and hypertension.

There was a recall on my 2001 Daewoo Nubira due to the CAM Position Sensor.I was told by a representative of Daewoo that as long as the check light did not come on I could drive the car.The light came on in Nov. and I immediately made an appointment for 11-6-06 to have it repaired. Whille there I requested that the brakes be checked. The brakes were making a noise and hesitating when pressed.

The last 3 inspection I requested they be checked, but was always told they were fine.It was not until 1-4-06 that a machanic from Midas where I purchased tires after test driving the car told me to take it back to the dealer for the ABS system had a problem. After the CAM position was repaired the check light disappear only to reappear about 35 minutes after leaving the shop. I call Michael and reported that the light was back on. He told me to make another appointment. The brakes were also still the same, however, I was told that they were okay.

I did not drive the car until I returned to Brooklyn Dodge on 1-19 07 once again requested very forcefully that the brakes be checked. Michael stated that the crankshaft needed replacing and they had one on the premises. He stated that rodens had chewed the wires. He also stated the brake pads and rotors needed replacing and quoted 900 dollars. I remained in the shop from 8:00 AM-6:00 waiting for these repairs and was told they had to keep the car for they had to order the crankshaft.

On I-20-07 I arrived to retrieve the car and Michael said big problems the light would not go off his best mechanic took the brakes apart 3 times and he was frustrated. He would call me the next day. I received a call stating that the ABS needed a pump which cost 700 dollars. I wanted the brakes fixed so I said fix it. On 1-25-07 I picked up the car not feeling good about the repairs for there were many disgruntal people in the shop plus my experience with this shop. Sure enough driving home I almost had an accdent for not only were the brakes not much better, but the car was wobbling.

I called and returned the car. He kept it 2 days and when I went for the car Michael said the mechanic who cut the rotor warped them ,but he is no longer with the company. When the service guy drove it out he said, Something is wrong with your brakes. I drove it two blocks and returned. I informed Michael that the brakes were not repaired correctly and that I did not think his mechanics were compent to repair them. I told him that I would not leave the car for I did not think they knew how to repair the ABS System. He dropped his head. Now, I am out of 1,846.00 and still having problem.

There was an advertisement in the daily news about cars for $25 dollars and up. I wanted to inquire about a car for $25 dollars but was willing to spend about $5000 well it was said to start at 11am i got ther an hour early to look around by 11am nothing i asked about it and i got the run around in turn i got sales pitch after sales pitch and no car they didnt even produce the cars that were in the ad for $3000-$5000. I was very disappointed and to this day they still call me and cant keep their word.

About 6 months ago I was looking at a Dodge Durango at Dodge dealer. During the test drive the truck would not go into park the gear shift would move but the truck stayed in drive. And this was a new Durando with 0 miles on it. That aloan was enough for me not to buy it or any other Dodge.

I still have the ad that was printed in the newspaper. When I went to the dealership I was given a different price from the ad. I asked why the price difference and I was told the car was $5000 after $3000 down payment. The ad states: buy for $4995 or own it for $32 a month @7.95% APR with $2995 down payment, total payments $2304. I feel that I was duped with a false ad in order to come to the dealership. Then they tried to get me to buy a new car instead. I hightailled out of there. I held onto the ad and can have it sent to you if needed.

As a result of their false advertisement I was unable to purchase the vehicle I travelled 20 miles to buy.
