On Nov. 25, 1998 we purchased a used 1998 Chevy Ventura. We purchased for $1,200.00 an extended service contract. On Aug. 1, 2001 I had to have my car repaired in Florida. They told me that they have no record of me having an extended service plan. I phone Planaka Chevy and they told me that they had to pull my file. As of this date, Sept. 4, 2001 and about 12 phone calls later they still have not pulled my file.
I had to pay out of pocket on my credit card $283.71 for something that should have cost me nothing because Palanka Chevy never sent out my paper work.Jean can contact New York consumer protection officials and/or sue the dealership in Small Claims Court, seeking a full refund of the amount he paid for the supposed service contract.
