We purchased 2001 ford escape in november 08. we noticed brakes had pulsation when applied, asked dealer about it and said "thats how the abs works just drive it itll be fine". In may 09 we ended up approaching a stop light and applied brakes, brakes would not work. applied them numerous time. swerved to miss car infront of us and hit telephone pole and totalled truck. contacted numerous people in ford corporation along with the dealership, dealership refusing to say and do anything other than laugh at us. they robbed us for 5 thousand dollars. the dealer that sold us the vehicle was fired about two weeks later, go figure! we have described to many mechanics and they all tell us it has to do with the ABS, something that we had the dealer inspect before we purchased the vehicle. and look where were sitting now. with nothing!
