Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I understand my credit is not all that great and at that time, I need a car so bad because I had just recovered from a stroke and moved out of state and I was about to lose my job and stability if I didn't have transportation to get back and forth to work and get my children to school. So after I was turned down at five other auto places, I went to DeSimone as my last result and the woman sales rep told me as long as I waited for her, she will make sure I leave today with a car. So after I waited three hours, she did exactly what she said she could do. She never let me test drive the car at all. She told me this was a car rental leasing program called Autotrakk for people with bad credit and they don't give out test drive because they all are good running car.

From day one, 4/8/2008, until the present, it's a knocking chopping noise that comes from back right area of the car and I was told by four different car repair places and mechanic that it was my hub bearings. I took it back to the dealership twice and they denied and said that's not what it was and then the third time, I put it in the shop then they said it was the hub bearings so they fixed it and the noise didn't stop. It was just quieter and now it's back to making the noise. I have oil inside the engine the car need some kind of belts. The tires were old when I got the car and all the cosmetic parts on the inside of the car is broken. The door handle broke in half. The key hole on the driver side is inside the door. The arm rest compartment is broken. My driver side seat has collapsed and none of the lights work in the radio area. I constantly get low air pressure and/or a flat in the right front tire regardless if the tire is new or old. The front right headlight burned out like 4 to 6 months.

I really got played when I got this car. I have 15 more weekly payments to complete the leasing portion of this car which total to $12,720 for this car and after my payments is completed, I have to pay another $1,589 to own the car. So I paid $14,309 for a car that's not safe enough to be on anybody, highways or byways. See, when you are a woman trying to buy a car in this business, it's so easy for these sales people to sell you anything. I truly don't know what to do because I can't afford to buy a new car right now and it's a shame. I pray and beg to ask God to let my car take me and my children to our destination and back home safely everyday and I should have to do that for a car that I'm paying a car payment on but I have to because I have no other choice.

This dealership has the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with and for me to tell you what happened would take a whole book.

I purchased a 2008 Vitra Suzuki on 9-5-08. Two wks. later I was told to bring the vehicle back because the vehicle was too expensive and they couldn't find anyone to finance me. When I took the vehicle back on 9-12-08. I was given a different vehicle (same year) but a different color with less features. I had this car for over 3wks. I was told to come in again, they had found someone to finance me.

I took my 2008 Mini Van for a trade, and I was told that everything would be fine. In the mean time, my credit union was still taking payments out for the van, even though Desimone had it. It has been over 6 wks. and the credit union is still taking payments out b/c they haven't received the pay off balance from Desimone. I have gone down to the dealership over 5 times, and was thrown out of Tom's office when I became upset about them not returning my calls and refusing to give me any info. as far as when I will receive the credit back into my account. Desimone had no problems cashing my 500.00 down pymt, and my checking account is bouncing all over the place.

I purchased a 1997 Oldsmobile Achieva from DeSimone Susuki on November 29, 2000. Since that time, I have driven the car about two weeks. The rest of the time, it has been in their garage for the same problem. The key keeps getting stuck in the ignition. It is an all-power car with daylights. Since the car cannot be shut off, the battery keeps dying and I cannot drive the car with confidence. This has happened five thimes in the past month, the most recent being the thursday before New Years.

My plans were ruined for the weekend, the would not give me a loaner car, and suggested that I go out and rent a car and they would reimburse me. Since then, I have not heard from any of them. I call, and no one returns my phone call. I was promised that they would send my car to an Oldsmobile dealership to be fixed on tuesday, Jan. 2...the car did not leave DeSimone's garage until Wednesday, jan 3. No one will give me information on it, I am paying $40 a day for a car that I am afraid I will not be reimbursed for, and they continue to show no respect or courtesy for a product that they decided to sell.I have just called there and the owner and head mechanic are gone and no one has called me to update anything.

I work long hours and work 40 minutes from my home, and not having my car in this weather is not solely inconvenient, but also unethical. This is not the way to do business.
