On January 29, 2010, I went to make my payment at the dealership at their location on Williamsburg Rd. in person instead of mailing or wasting the money to make a money order and a stamp. I arrived at the dealer about 12 noon, in a commercial vehicle that I drive for a living. No one was there, no sign saying they could be out to lunch, etc. I then called and asked what was the story and why no one was there on a normal business day. It was the Friday before a major snowstorm was moving in, so I was making the payment a day early so I did not have to come back out that Saturday in the bad weather to make it, even though it was due on that Saturday.

I then tried back at the dealer again about 3pm, and still no one was there, no return phone call. At 5pm, I had no choice but to leave the payment in cash form, even though I should not have left it in that form and will not do so again. There is no night drop box or anywhere to leave it, so I left it in an envelope and slid it through the entrance door as I had done before numerous times. I also called once again and left a voice mail stating that I had left the payment and asked if they could call me when they had received it.

That Saturday I had found out the owner did come in for a little while to do some paperwork. I didn't get a phone call that day to say they did or did not receive it. That following Monday, I called about 2 pm and asked if they received it and they, in fact, did not, even though he was in there on Saturday and the only one to come in. I still had to call after not hearing from them in over four days. He then told me he was sorry and I was still responsible for the payment, so I did. I once again went to the bank and took out another $300 and went there in person, of course this time they were there and I received a receipt for the payment.

I sent a complaint to the BBB and received a response from them saying they could not get in touch with them. I recently went by the dealer and all the vehicles were gone and the dealer was closed up. He called me about a week ago from his cell phone and told me that I could no longer bring the payment to him even though he had moved to Ashland and I drive by there numerous times of the day, but I had to meet him somewhere or mail it to a P.O. Box. Today March 11, 2010 about approx. 3pm, and he left a voice mail as I was still at work and said if I don't call him back today and meet him or call him back before 5 pm, he would draw up the papers to send the repossession truck out to pick up the car. I don't have a problem making the payments, but this is uncalled for. I sent two payments in one month and I can't even come by the location to make the payment while in route? Thank you for your time.
