I purchased a previously owned BMW 325I (2006) over a year ago. I have had it in to the dealer for regular maintenance, and have been fully satisfied. One problem I had from the beginning was my door handles would stick open. I had them address the issue a year ago, and was told the handles were replaced. A couple months ago, the driver's door handle stuck once again, and after that it would no longer lock. At the same time, my automatic lights stopped working.
After a full day in service, I was told that my car had been in an accident, and they could see some minor "overspray" indicating that. I was quoted about $1,000 to have repair done. But they could not find anything wrong with my lights. Several weeks later, I took it in again to have the driver's handle replaced, and the lights addressed. After a full day in service, I was told they couldn't replace the handle because of the "accident," and further indicated to me they wouldn't fix the lights either, because that is associated with the door problem.I ran a vin report and found out that the car has never been in an accident. It had one previous owner, who drove it 9,000 miles per year, and was in perfect condition when I purchased it.
