Advance Placement Services

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

In January, 2010 I purchased 3 combo vending machines from 1-800 vending. I decided to hire Advance Placement to locate them for me. I paid in full $900.00 for the location of the three machines. I specifically told them that I would need locations that would allow me to service them on weekends as I am a full time teacher and vending is a secondary job. They (Jay and Jennifer B) promised me that they could accommodate that and after a week or so, they sent me some location proposals, none of which allowed access on weekends. I had to refuse them. The battle began. I was treated so rudely by Jennifer (hanging up on me, giving me a hard time, very sarcastic) this went on through February.

Finally, Jennifer told me that they would have to send a locator to my area. Now we are in the first week of March. The guy was supposed to come up to find me locations. He never came. I called that guy and he told me that he didn't come up because Advance Placement hadn't paid him claiming they (Advance Placement) hadn't been paid by me. They were paid in full in January! I filed a useless claim then with BBB, which they did not respond to timely.

I was so frustrated because by now, it's the end of March and this had been dragging out since early Feb. I had to pay more money on garage rent because the machines were still (to present) in storage, loss of perishable product and just an inordinate amount of emotional stress. Finally, I requested a refund which I am still awaiting because they are going to continue throwing me any old locations. They are very rude and do not care about your needs as a customer. It's like hiring someone to paint your house, paying for it, telling the painter you want it yellow, the painter paints it black and says "****, you got it painted".

I have filed a claim with Lisa M, the attorney general of their area. I also found out this company had more than 90+ complaints against them in 36 months. My suspicion is that this company had been shut down before and reopened in Chicago from Georgia. They reopen under another name. Why can't this company just get their act together? What a nightmare and it sounds like the woman in the other article suffered similarly in that they just screw you around and outright lie. I am hoping that the company is shut down. I am warning anyone who is considering this company to think twice, you will be disappointed no doubt. Where are my machines? Today is 4/14/10, they're still in storage, however, they will be located by a friend shortly and quite honestly, I am better off. Jennifer B is a witch and her husband Jay is a smooth talking idiot. Justice will be served if it is the last thing I do.

I will do all that I can to make sure this company is shut down or has a severe consequence in which they truly deserve. I think most people think (as I did) that the BBB is going to do anything for you. No, they are just going to collect complaints on any given company and pass messages between parties. You need to contact Lisa M, Attorney General (Google her) for Chicago, IL. If we are to get anywhere and I know I am not alone, take the time, download the complaint form and send it in (you have to send it via mail, not email). You must or this unscrupulous will remain! I don't ever want anymore to have to go through what I've been through with this company. The stress was horrible and the financial stress as well! Don't say you weren't warned!

I bought a vending machine that sells colas and candies, through a company (unitedvendingroup) through an ad in my local newspaper classified section. They claimed they had routes or placements to put the machine. So I purchased one, it took about 2 weeks for the machine to arrive in Hawaii, and upon receipt of the machine I was told to call the placement service. I paid $175 to advance placement services, and was supposed to pay another $175 upon placement of the machine.

Well when the machine came in, I called and spoke with Jennifer B., and she told me it was gonna take another week, because she had to find a place to put the machine. Now I was already furious, because I wanted to get things rolling as soon as the machine came in. So she told me she was gonna call the next day to see what she could come up with! She never did, because my sister eneded up yelling at her over the phone about what kind of business she was running. She didn't like the idea, so she refused to answer my calls, and said that she wouldn't place my machine.

So now I am stuck with this bill of $6,000 and what not dollars, and still have know place for me to put the machine. Meanwhile I have a contract with advance placement services, and Jennifer B.isn't answering my calls, telling her office assistant not to respond to my messages and so forth. So what do I do, if the company isn't fulfilling their part of the deal? whether or not I was rude to them for not placing my machine? I still have a legal binding contract, and she refuses to place my machine somewhere.

I bought the machine hoping I could make some money to help out with the bills. But instead, it put me more in the hole, and the contract I signed isn't being fulfilled by the companies part in whole. I just wonder how these people can do this? I wasn't the only one who bought a vending machine also, from what I was told by the vending machine company that they were sending 3 other machines out that day.

I still see the ad running till this day, that they have routes if you buy a vending machine. And the ones who are going to suffer is those who are desperate, like I was when I saw that ad. Thinking it was a good investment, and the company I was purschasing something from would help. But instead the kind of business ethics they have are completely illegal in my words.
