This is a letter I wrote to my Credit card company seeking help. Now I know I am not alone either because this is all over CNEt and other tech help sites from big to small people going through the same issue.
As stated before this was a 3-day rush order I had notified them that I was a disabled retired veteran and unable to leave the home to shop or function on a daily basis. I did not receive the computer or full parts to get it up and running until after Christmas. It was received non functional. They literally had cut up the video cards to make them fit inside the case with other expensive parts. The wrong lighting and other small parts were also in the case. I reported the non-operational computer to them right away and said I would return it for a different computer it had already been delayed so long. They kept misplacing the RMA or replacement parts orders, and refused to take a return for refund even though it was within their 30day window. They kept saying, "Well, we will just send you parts or you can just drive to Southern CA and have it fixed here yourself. But that was an expensive computer we built for you, no need for a refund, would be a 10hour drive." They placed me on ignore and did not respond to my e-mails or phone calls for almost three months
I contacted the BBB in March complaining that I couldn't get a hold of them and this was ridiculous. I just wanted my refund. I also had sent back the computer at this time at my own expense. iBuyPower.com responded to the BBB just exceeding their response time going on 20days and stated that my card threw U.S.Bank was only charged $6000 total and I had purchased this a year earlier. I responded that my credit card statements showed otherwise as well as e-mails and calls made to ibuypower.
They responded iBuypower associates wouldn't lie and BBB ended the communication. Shortly after I had written several letters to the owner of iBuyPower, I received response that they had received my computer and might repair it. I answered with I have been trying to return it for refund since day 1 but was rejected. I was also told if I received the parts and it did not perform as desired I could return it for refund then as well by one associate and one person claiming to be management after they realized that they did not send the video card replacements or put the other repair parts on order. I told them I had been writing the owner for help and they cut off all communication with me again.
