I am self employed in a small shop related to automotive repairs located in Hyattsville, MD. Last year I filled out a contract with this company for collection of returned checks.

This happened in June/1999, a few days after that a check from one of my customers was returned for insufficient funds and this company automatically took the check from my bank; the amount of the check was $435.26 plus $26.94 fee. They collected the full amount from the check writer and never sent the money collected back to me. After that, I decided to cancel my account.

I sent them a letter explaining my decision and they ignored the letter.

The same thing happened on 05/31/2000 when they took another returned check from my bank for the amount of $878.47 plus $26.94 fee. They recovered the full amount from the check writer and never sent us back the money collected. I personally have been calling them several times to see what happened, but they never give me a trustworthy answer.
