Iowa Wireless

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

My first problem is trying to get a business discount with this company. We have contacted them several times and no one has ever called back. We have three lines and the internet works only about 30% of the time. Second and final issue is we recently added a third plan, not line plan, to the account and after purchasing, we never received our mail-in-rebate. We have went to stores and contacted them several times, finally someone told us that we need to print it off online, as no one carried the rebate for my phone at any stores, seriously!

After having this phone for a couple of weeks, it stopped working and would no longer start up. We took the phone back to the Iowa wireless location we had purchased it from and they proceeded to tell us that they would not replace it until we told them that we would cancel, since it was within the 30 day guarantee. After replacing the phone with the display model, which isn't right since I had purchased a new phone and with no rebate to add to it, they told me that they wouldn't lace the phone again under factory warranty and that I was no longer eligible to cancel within my 30 day guarantee!

I want out of contract with this company! I am stuck with three separate lines of unlimited service that rarely work and with no rebates!

On 6/12/2010, I purchased phone from Kroger store. I reactivated # and account from phone that was lost. Customer support could not complete activation, suggested we purchase additional minutes which we did. Customer support could not enable the phone. They said that they were sending it to higher level of tech support and we would hear back in 24 to 72 hours. This was 6/13/2010. We called the account number and told we have over 200 minutes, $30.10 in money and it will expire on 9/10/2010. When we tried to make a call, the recording says we have no minutes. Calling this number and we get a recording that the person is not available. We have contacted twice since the first 72 hours expired and been told the account is pending and they will get back to us. In other words, "We'll call you. Don't call us." I have asked for a full refund but told that it would take 24 to 72 hours. And also their high techs do not work on the weekends.

I purchased a T-Mobile new phone from a supposed T-Mobile dealer I Wireless Cell Phone Services at 1245 Washington Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139 on February 15, 2010. When I got home I realized the phone is not Window's mobile which is what I needed, so I returned today, two days later, to exchange it. To my surprise the owner of this store refused to exchange it or refund my money.

His excuse was that he is not a T-Mobile authorized dealer--he is just a dealer; therefore, he does not have to acknowledge the Buyer's Remorse 14-days right. I would like to know if he is right. If not, how do I report him for violating the rules as a dealer for T-Mobile? Also, he said that his policy is no exchanges or refunds; however, there are no visual signs indicating such policy. Also, he gave me a receipt with no company's name on it and he did not charged any tax. It was one of those handwritten receipts from a book.
