MacIntosh computer, mouse hardware:
The Apple version of a computer mouse roller-ball jams up easily and regularly. The roller-ball on the top of the mouse cannot be removed and cleaned in the simple way a normal/regular mouse ball can be maintained. It took me an hour to take the Apple mouse apart and reassemble - all just to remove and clean the roller-ball on top of the mouse. The interior of the mouse is filled with unnecessary complexity, tiny and delicate plastic parts that break easily, and a design that discourages maintenance by an owner. Of course the mouse is no longer covered by warranty (just over 1-year old). I have never had a computer mouse of any age break or stop working like this before.
I am currently holding this piece of mouse junk (excuse me, i-Junk) together with duct tape.
