I originally purchased this program at the end of January 2009. For the first two months, it worked great. Every time I got an automatic software update on my computer, this program went on the fritz. It would not work; it would not let me send my work secure and told me my free download was over and I had to purchase the program.
When I would try to redo it and put in the authorization code given when I first purchased it, it said it was invalid. When I would call the office, no one would answer and you had to leave a message, no matter what time you called. If you sent an e-mail, good luck.
Finally, Jeremy ** would call. We would enter into an online conference, and he would take control of my computer and fix the problem. This happened about five times. Finally, I just started doing a free download every two months, because it would take them three to five days to call me and fix the problem. As I have to send my work securely, this was not an option.
About the middle of December, I e-mailed and phoned, advising them I would not renew my software with them and the reason why. No phone call, and of course, no e-mail. Today, on my bank account, they charged me $79 for a renewal. No notice was sent prior to this giving me the option to opt out. But of course, they would not do that. They just take the money. There is no service, no human contact whatsoever, unless they want to. This program was a problem from the start. The service and support is horrible. Essential Security is horrible!
