I went to the Natural Hair Growth Institute in May of 2008 after hearing ads aired on AM radio claiming to "guarantee" hair growth in 6 months. I had a consultation with Steve Bennis (owner) and he showed me impressive before and after photos of men and women re-growing their hair. After agreeing to use his "system", I started sitting under a laser twice a week for 30 minutes, taking 3 different vitamins and supplements, and using special shampoo, conditioner, and cleanser.
At the 3-month mark, I was concerned I wasn't seeing results. I finally got a meeting with Steve after dozens of attempts to contact him. He said that some men took longer than others. As this treatment was new to me, I took his answer and continued on. At the 6-month mark and the contractual end of my treatment, I had not seen any results. I met with Steve after waiting at the downtown location for 4 hours. I told him I wanted my money back and he said let's not go that far and said that I was an extremely rare case and I needed another 6 months and that I could continue coming "free of charge", but I would have to buy the vitamins and shampoos from here on out.
I continued doing the laser treatments, but discontinued the vitamins and shampoos as they were overpriced and he wouldn't tell me exactly how they worked. Towards the end of almost 12 months of laser treatments and not having seen any results, Steve Bennis was nowhere to be found, and I couldn't contact him and he wouldn't return any messages. Steve Bennis got $12,000 of my money and received nothing but false advertising in return. In conclusion I used the Natural Hair Growth Institute system for almost an entire 12 months with zero success.
The system cost $12,000 with a supposed 100% guarantee. Steve Bennis never returned my calls when I requested one. I also spent 1 hour under a laser and took vitamins that didn't work. I had to drive to his office and pay to park as well. All in all, I spent drove, paid to park, sat for an hour a week, and took questionable vitamins with zero return. He gave all these medications with no medical degree and no M.D. consultation.
