Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I attended a HurryDate in Mountain View. When I arrived at the venue, there were only 4 girls and 7 guys, although the website promises 10-15 dates per event. Since there were less than the promised # of individuals, the hostess assured us that our next event would be free.

When I tried to enter my details at the website, the website kept telling me that someone had already entered details for user id:4. I sent several e-mails to HurryDate about this problem yet they are resolving it verrrry slowly. (Finally got a reply after a week, from a guy asking me about my user id. Issue still not resolved as of now.)

I figured that they don't really have the balls to call themselves a speed dating service --

1. they can't come up with the required number of people

2. their website doesn't work so they can't even match up people

Realized I didn't want to go through another awkward HurryDate event, so I asked them to refund my money instead of giving me a free pass to the next event. They refused since they did not give refunds for events that had already taken place.

I signed up with Hurrydate.com for two dating parties, on different days. Both times they were cancelled. I called the restaurants where these parties were supposedly scheduled; I was told that they've never heard of this service.

I asked for a refund and was told that Hurrydate could not refund electronically but I could expect a check in the mail in ten days. It's been well over 10 days and no check has been received.

Damages: I would just like my $72.00 back.
