Thing is, I found a site at which a guy documents having received the exact same email, only for Seattle instead of Los Angeles. The link to that site (cached through Google...the original site no longer has the posting) immediately follows, and after that I've pasted in the email I received. An interesting business practice, and I've forwarded the information on the the FTC, thanks to Consumer Affairs' listing of their UCE email address.
Hi, I read your ad at Yahoo personals. I liked what you said I'm looking for someone to do things with. I just moved to Encino and I don't know anybody here except my friend who rooms with me, she says she's met some interesting people on the internet. Hopefully I will find one, haven't had any luck with the bars. I'm using her computer and don't know anything about them. She showed me how to send this e-mail, and she didn't know how to attach a picture here so she helped me put my profile and picture at the free site singleslibrary com where she's at, click on locate 368684. If after looking at it you're interested in getting together or calling me, I don't work tomorrow, I'll be home all day, you can call me at 81849238 I've been told i'm attractive and sweet. Well I'm sending out about ten e-mails, so, let's see what happens.
Hope to hear from you soon
Bye, Rachel
P.S. I am using her computer and she would rather I use only one e-mail address, because it gets too confusing for us. I'm not checking this yahoo address anymore. I'm going to get all my e-mail at the (singleslibrary) where she's at, this way I won't have to sign in to pick up e-mails, they forward them to her computer.
