I made a payment to this company at the end of October or early November; they were supposed to forward the funds to my original lender. In mid November, I contacted them asking when they were going to forward payment. They said it would be forwarded the following month. I called back on mid December and David told me that he made a mistake that their policy was to forward at the end of the month after payment was made; this means it should have been paid at the end of December at the very latest.
I called today to see if they had disbursed the money; and David's response was we made the payment; I asked on what date, and he got a very nasty attitude saying call the original lender. I said, "Sir, I sent money to your company and I am trying to find out what date the money was forwarded." He stated, "You should have paid your bill." I again asked what date it was paid and asked him, "Sir, why are you getting an attitude because I am asking when you disbursed money; you told me before that it would be disbursed the following month; then you said at the end of the month, and I am just following up." This man was very rude and I didn't appreciate the treatment I received from him and the lack of commitment to research a simple question. I contacted the company who I initiated business with and told them about the encounter and told them that they need to do business with another company!
Something smells fishy here with Oak Tree Collections! This has resulted in my credit being damaged and me making double payments!
