I hired this firm for collections of three clients that had not paid in months. Their terms were a maximum of 33% of what was collected and I would be able to agree or not on the negotiated amount. They told me they had done business with 23 of the 3 before. Within a week or so, an agreed amount was established on one of the clients. They proceeded to collect an unknown amount of money from them but never sent me the $16,360 I was due.
They proceeded to make some kind of deal unknown to me on another of the three clients I released to them. They are collecting payments from him even though I did not agree on an amount. No money was ever received in connection with that client either. The third went bankrupt on us. In all, this company owes me over $20,000.
I have contacted the Texas Atty. General, the Federal trade commission, the American Collectors Assoc. The Texas Bar association, the Houston bar associates two of the main newspapers in Houston and even Crime Stoppers. I have heard back from no one that would help me. I tried to correspond with Rothman and Wise recently and was not able to. I believe they have "moved". This loss has placed a terrible hardship on our already struggling business.
