I recently received an alleged bill from United Online Collection (aka Netzero) stating that I owe them $19.90 that was past due on my account and that it would be turned over to a collection agency, if not paid promptly. The problem is that I do not have an account with them, and I do not understand why I am receiving this bill. I do not want my credit ruined, but I'm not going to be paying this bill, because I do not owe them any money.

This is the third attempt at collecting for Netzero Juno. Supposedly, it tells me I've had xxx acct with them and owe varying amounts. I've never had a Netzero and have never had any of the reported email accounts, ever. I find this all incredibly despicable.
They sent us a collection letter for an account that we never opened with them. They are asking us to send them money right away.
