My husband was in need of a root canal. He went for the first half and because of a busy work schedule, wasn't able to get back for the second half for a while. During this time, we receieved harrassing phone calls and bills for the second half of the root canal.
When the office called, we tried to explain to the person that my husband had not had the other half done and that when he could come in to get it done, we would pay for the second half.
Suddenly, the tooth started bothering him again. When he called to get an appointment, he was informed that he would be expected to pay the remainder of the bill when he came in. My husband agreed, made the appointment and paid the bill. When the dentist came into the examining room, he said that the tooth would have to be extracted and that indeed, we did not owe the money for the second half of the root canal and that he would take the cost of the extraction off that and apply the remainder of the money we paid $330 toward a bridge and give my husband a 20% discount on the cost of the bridge for his trouble with the office.
When my husband and I talked about it, we decided to go to another dentist. We called Dr. Talberts office and asked for our money back that we were going somewhere else for our dental needs. We were told that we would receive a $178 refund. We paid over $400 the last time we were there. The cost of the extraction was already taken out and now they are trying to take out again for it. We would like them to refund us the $330 that they say would be the money put toward a bridge.
This is not the first time we have had problems with the office personal in this office. My children and I have been patients of Dr. Daniel
We have to find another dentist. Because of the difficulty dealing with the personal in the office, we are less likely to get dental check ups as needed. I am not the kind of person to just let anyone deal with our familys dental needs. I trusted Dr. Daniel with our care and have been treated terrible.
