In November 1998 I under went rotator cuff tear repair at Bellwood General Hospital by this physician. In recovery I learned that there were some complications. My family was waiting because the procedure was schedule as an outpatient procedure. Although I questioned Dr. Wall numerous times about the complicationshe blamed it on my age of 35.

I asked for his operatige report hoping to gain insight, but it was brief and mentioned nothing out of the ordinary. I was experiencing numbness and throbbing pain that I was told was normal. I was told that i would not be going home. The next day I removed the bandaid to find a large open incision in the front of my shoulder as well as a orthoscopic puncture in the back. I again question Dr. Wall and my question went unanswered.

I have made attempts to find out what nurses were present who could explain what happened. But no one could speak because they were instructed not to by the administration of the hospital. I went through excruciating pain, could not extend my left arm, intermitent paralysis and could roll my nerve with my finger in my left arm.

My worker's comp adjuster removed me from Dr. Wall care because of his failure to maintain medical records and I was transferred to Kerlan and Jobe. The Orthopedic Doctor tried to downplay my physical complaints. However, at my urging he ordered a nerve conduction study, During that study the neurologist told me that my nerved were severly inflammed and showed abnormalities.

When I requested his report weekes later, I was told that it was lost. Again, I felt as if I was eing railroaded. I did some research on the internet of orthopeic medical journal pertaining to the types of injueries that can happen during othroscopic rotator cuff tear repair. Based on what I learned during that research, I requested that my care be transferred from an Orthopedic Specialist to a Neurologist. I was only going on my physical symptons and a hunch that something was seriously wrong.

I consulted several malpractice attorneys referred by the Los Angeles Bar, but I was told that I need some medical evidence that injury had actually taken place. I was also told that it would be difficult to find an attorney to go against Dr. Wall because he does a lot of expert witness testimony for physicians cases vs patient cases.

My neurologist, Dr, Kenneth Nudleman performed his own nerve conduction studies that confirm the first study with Kerlam

and Jobe that was lost. I was then scheduled with specialist at UCLA for a specialized study of my nerves called a microneurography. This was reviewed by the head the Neurologu Department at UCLA, Dr. Aaron Filler. His report to my treating physician indicated that the study showed nerve damage and other abnormalities. I was scheduled for exploratory surgery January 17th 2001.

In October 2000 I contacted and hired Malpractice attorney Kim Vallantine who obtain my files from my Worker's Comp Attorney at that time and scheduled to meet with Dr. Filler. The exploratory surgery showed that the bracial plexus had been injured, the neurovascular bundle haad been punctured, the surgeon had not repaired the damages allowing me to bleed into the arm causing enormous scarring and the nerves were terribly mangled. So, my redearch was partially accurate in that I had suffered some damage to the brachial plexus. But I couldnt have ever imagined the extent of the damage. I have indured exremely painful procedures to reduce the nonstop, almost unbearable pain. I have been on some many different medications since I learned of my after surgery diagnosis.

I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy also called Comprehensive Regional Pain Syndrome. I also have an extreme case of Fibromyalgia, Uncomtollable Muscle Spasms. I also recently began losing teeth. Some would simply crumble into dust and other just came out; procelain crown and all. When I brought it to my Pain Management Physician's Attention. He referred my medical records and noted that I had taken the pain medication called actiq previously to tranferring to him and that it had been decided to return to it because I was also sufferring from RSD lesion on my face, my breast, my buttocks, my legs and my feet. It was felt that it was a stronger pain medication until my doctor could have the Morphine Pump implanted. But sadly, while the medication did control the pain better than others had. I began to lose my teeth because of the medication.

I tearfully argued with my physican that no where in the PDR, or in my pharnmacy consultation or home literature was rapid tooth decay listed as even a remote possibility. I have lost over 15 teeth and the dentist I was sent to for a consult was horrified by the damage. I was told that I have to see a team of specialist at UCLA. Since Dr. David Wall completely mutilated my nerves during a routine outpatient procedure. And my life is no longer a life. The attornwy who told me not to worry and met with my neurosurgeon was supposed to filing my case while I recuperated at home. I called her regularly and left messages, but was told she was in court.

Then one day in approcimately late October I was told by the secretary that nothing had been filed on my behalf and that my file was sitting on the floor in the corner of Ms. Vallantine's office. the secretary apologized because I was hysterical. I never heard from or spoke to the attorney again. But I did contact Dr. Wall's office and advised him of the situation. His office manager hung up in my face and told me not to call again. I am taking this opportunity to file a formal complaint against Dr. Wall for negligence. Even if it was an accident he sould have caaled in the neuro team to take care of the injuries instead of allowing me to bleed and allow my nerved to become entrapped in thick scar tissue. He flat out lied to me and his operative report is a flat out lie. Because of his status here in California, no attorney will go gainst him. I was told that he is more valuable to lawyers who represent physicians.

I lost my job. I had to move home to have someone help care for me, I am on SSI disability. I wish I was dead most days. I can't eat regular food. I am only 39 and I know I look like a monster and no one will ever love this! And I owe it all to Dr. Wall and the pharmaceurical company. I have lost everything.

I lived in Corona del Mar, I looked beautiful. And just recently I agreed to meet two of my past employee who loved me and I loved them when I was their boss. It hurt so bad when they began crying because I am now having to use a walker. For long distances a wheelchair. Somtimes I swell so bad I cant wear socks or shoes, I sleep in a old uncomfortable hospital bed because I sometime need help sitting up.

My doctor requested tempurpedic mattresses, but that was years ago. My credit it ruined. Dr. wall would have done me a favor by allowing me to bleed to death on the operating table. My family can barely deal with me because I cant handle loudness...there is so much more, But I am extremely emotional. I hope you care enough to contact me and see for yourself the lovely woman who went to an ugly, depressed, lonely, living in a tiny dark room, avoiding being seen by anyone.
