I took my brand-new suit jacket in on 8/20/03 that I need for a wedding tomorrow 8/23/03 and will now not have. All I needed was a simple dry cleaning because when I bought the suit it didn't look its best. When I took it in for cleaning I showed the lady the coat along with my other 14 dry cleaning items. She looked them over before cleaning them as she always does and I had just tried my suit on and there was nothing wrong with it.

When I picked my suit up I took it home and pulled the pastic off to find a cut through the front of the suit about 2 1/2 inches long that goes completely throught the material. I called when they first opened this morning at 7am and told the lady of my complaint.

She said the manager would be in at 10am but he called me first about 9am. I told him of the issues to which he replied over and over that they inspect everything and that they don't do things like that. Which is wrong because they miss stains all the time that I take them on clothing and didn't have one of my pairs of pants ready this time because they needed to re-clean them?

He said to bring the suit to him which I did at 11:30 am and we went round and round over the issue for about 15 minutes. He said he could have one of his workers sew it up but there is no way this could be done without it looking horrible. I want a refund of my suit jacket of $179 that I just bought last weekend and he will only offer $30 if he can't fix it which is his policy. I believe he should stand behind his work.

I have a wedding tomorrow and no suit to wear. I don't have the money to get another suit and I don't know if I will be attending now because I don't have any other clothing I feel would be appropriate.
