On March 25, 2003 I left a message for the manager and received no returned call. Again on March 27, 2003 I left another message and again received no returned call. On March 29, 2003, I took my suit into you plant and left my home and work phone number with it. Even after this, I received no returned call. On April 8, 2003 I called and Jenny answered as the manager.
She claimed the following:
That I had not brought any clothing into your plant since November of 2002.That all I wanted was to get free cleaning and somebody to pay for my clothing.
She essentially accused me of lying. Her explanation to me for the difference in color was due to the fact that I cleaned the jacket and the pants separately. Also that the tear in my pants, was part of the normal wear and tear. I tried to explain to Jenny that she was wrong on both accounts.She refused to listen to me and threatened to hang up the phone. She said, I am going to hang up, so you can leave messages on the recorder and nobody will call you back. She also claimed, That I called to argue. I explained to her that I was upset, because nobody had the courtesy to return my calls.
Facts:
My suit was 14 months old when you cleaned it in November of 2002. That was the second time the suit was ever dry cleaned. I do not dry clean or wash my jacket and pant suits separately, nor do I wear them separately. The problem with my slacks is the same problem as with my scarfs that you had repaired in the past. However, they can not be repaired, because there is a big color variance. The color will never be the same.I have enclosed a written estimate for the replacement of my damaged clothing. This is a formal request for reimbursement in the amount of $700.00. Please mail the payment in full to the above address or kindly respond to me in writing, with an explanation as to why you will not pay for the damaged clothing.
