Early January of this year i went to Royal Security Training Academy to go my guard card so that i could find a job. They promised that they had "Job Placement" once you finished the class and got your guard card. The total cost of the the class was 170.00 which includes their fees and the cost of filing the paperwork with the state. I was told it would take up to 3 months to get my card....about 3 months later i called them, having completed the course, and they said they had JUST filed the papaerwork, so i waited and called them back a few months later, and they told me oh im sure its on its way...Now its nearly september and i still hadnt gotten it, so i called them, and they said i never took the class, and i didnt pay for the class. They had no paperwork on me at all, and I have copies of all my recipts and paperwork they gave me. I ended up calling the state myself and it took a while but I managed to find the misspelled file that they sent to the state.
I managed to get my card with no help from the people who's job it was to get my guard card...I called them and said i should be refunded the money i spent on the class since they made the error and cost me months of work. When i got my card, i got a job 2 days later. I had been trying to apply for a security job months earlier but nobody would hire me due to me not having my card. I spoke with Nila, the owner of Royal Security and she basicly told me to F*** Off....and to call Consumer Affairs.....which I am...PLEASE somebody help me! There has to be something I can do about this. It cost me a job for months! They never placed me into a position, which is what they told me they do....they promised job placement after i took the course, IT NEVER HAPPENED. They are total liars.
