John Beck Mentoring

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

Karen ** agreed to pay me a percentage of my guaranteed deposit. She owes me $4400.00! I am stressed out!

On June 11, 2009 my husband and I signed a contract with John Beck Mentoring of America Free & Clear Real Estate System to learn the real estate investment business. We contracted to receive 15 weeks of structured appointment and web based training from real estate investment experts. We were charged $14,270.00 for the training and set up of our business. We have since learned that there is not a set cost for the program and that customers have been charged costs ranging from $3,000 to $20,000 for the same service contract. National Director, Joe Mirabella, said we would recover our costs within a few months because they would walk us step-by-step thorough the buying and selling process and in fact would be making our first investment and sale of property within the first month of coaching.

What we received for training was:
1.Scripted coaching from inexperienced trainers who know nothing of present real estate investment trends.
2.Cancelled sessions without notice;
3.Endless phone calls to reschedule training with no return calls;
4.As many as 4 weeks between sessions;

5.Repetitious training from each newly assign coach.

During the four weeks without a session, we drafted a letter to the company requesting a refund. Prior to sending the letter, we were assigned another coach and decided to give the program another try. Each time appointments were not kept without notice, we were given excuses or told that the trainer was no longer with the company and we were assigned a new coach. Each coach encouraged us to invest in poor quality properties that were not selling. Our fourth coach was bent on taking us back to beginning sessions on buying lots in Florida that Florida realtors told us would not sell. What coaching we got was not up to date, information available to the public at no cost, and very repetitious.

John Beck contracts the services they agree to provide their customers to affiliates, most of whom charge additional fees for their services.

I-Learning unknowingly charged $875.00 to our credit card to teach us organization and time management skills. Thankfully we discovered the charges prior to training and with much hassle we were able to get our account credited. Strategic Financial charged us $3,485.00 and a recurring monthly fee of $59.95 to set up an LLC and $1,620.00 to set up tax services with a recurring monthly fee of $29.95. We also have incurred charges for the use of John Beck software. We agreed to pay the $14,270.00 because all coaching and training, including seminars, plus the set up of our business was to be included in that price. The company made false and unsubstantiated claims about potential earnings and did not provide the contracted services.

We have received 3 phone calls over the last few months from telemarketers wanting to sell us the same John Beck program that we contracted for 6 months ago. We just received a call from an affiliate to schedule a presentation we have already been presented. Clearly they do not have good business practices within their own organization. They have the worst customer service we have ever experienced and they cant be trusted.

John Beck has not upheld our contract. We are unable to put any further resources into this failing contract and have requested a refund of our $14,270 from John Beck Mentoring.

I ordered the disks from the ad. They then contacted me about a coaching session program. I agreed. I had my first session, called immediately after the session and asked to cancel. They had an individual from there resolutions department contact me and high pressure me into trying again. The next coaching individual told me he would send me emails and instruct me step by step on what to do. I never received any emails and all he asked me was what I was doing and where I was going to go from here (how I was going to approach the investment market). I never received the coaching I signed up for. Upon a call back to the company all I received was a run around, and told I could not get my money back. I was even told by my coach that many people sign up for the coaching, but few if any complete the coaching. This is because they do not coach. They take your money and then give you cheering sessions that is all. I lost $8,685.

they charged 6000.00 to teach a course over the phone. (which amounted to about 3 full hours of nothing but tips and clues) They promised Your Money Back if you don't make any deals. That promise is as phoney as the John Beck SCAM. I am out the money.
