Testing Authority

I saw an Ad in the newspaper about a job with postal Services. I contacted the Testing Authority and they told me that I need to send them 130 dallors, in return they would send back a test book. So I could study the book for Postal examination. I did send them the money and received the book. They also told me if I didn't get a job with Post Office, they will return the whole amount back after a year. This happened 11/05/08. I applied for all open postion with Poat Office around my area and I didn't able to get a postion with Post Office.

I call Testing Authority during first 3 months to complain about that is no postion available. And need the money back but they refused to send the money back till one year is up. I also complained to Post Office but I was told there is no companies that work for them and send out these test book. As a matter fact the book disturbed by Post Office free of charge. I call the Testing Authority about 4 month after receiving the book but their phones were no longer in service.

We saw an ad in our local paper that indicated USPS was hiring at$20/hr or $57K/yr and to call the above number. When we called, the operator talked very quickly and said we had to buy the study materials to prepare for the postal exam. After making the purchase, we went online to the USPS website, and discovered they are not hiring in our area and that study materials are not necessary.

We cannot get a refund because the post office is hiring in a town less than 100 miles away (their refund policy states "if there has been NO job opening within 100 miles of your location within the last 12 months from the date of your purchase requiring the postal exam 460, 473, or 473-C AND you have been signed up for the exam notification service [on their website]" then a refund will be issued.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to commute 100 miles to work everyday and relocation is not an option. Also, I need a job now, not in the next 12 months. None of this was explained over the phone and I was lead to believe that there were openings in my city. Not only did I give my credit card number to an illegit company, I've lost over $100 for materials that are not required nor needed to take this exam.

The complaint with the company has been resolved and money is to be refunded. Thank you for this kind of service
